My husband has a formal dinner/event for work each year. I need an appropriate dress/outfit for this year as I will be 6 months pregnant! Any ideas of where to find formal maternity wear? I am in McKinney but work in Richardson. Thanks so much!!
Eddited to add I am a M-L size. I was a size 10-12 before pregnancy and have gained about 10 lbs.

Well, I finally found a cute dress at Pickles & Ice Cream in Plano. It was $130, so not too bad. It is a completley plain blak dress, so I plan to dress it up with jewelry. Thanks for all your help!
If you don't mind the drive, Destination Maternity in Dallas is the BEST! They are right by the Galleria. I got most of my maternity outfits there. Hope this helps :) C.
Depending on how much $$ you want to spend, I would look at A Pea in the Pod and Pickles and Ice Cream. You might have already been to these places but I find that they have the nicest formal dresses. When I was six months pregnant with my first child, I bought a little black maternity dress at a Pea in the Pod and got endless compliments all night long. They are expensive but I'd try them out. Pickles and Ice Cream too. There is one located in Plano. Go to their websites. Good luck!

In May, I found a cute long black skirt and black top with sequins at Motherhood Maternity, in Irving. (they have several locations) It was inexpensive, which I think is the only way to go, since you are only going to wear it once.

I actually have a maternity formal pant/sleeveless top outfit....very cute and I only wore it two times last Fall. It was $150 new---I would sell it for $50. i had to wear a formal dress for a work event - i had luck a dillards and found a dress (non-maternity but high waist) for less than $30 in their sale racks - it fit comfortably and even hid my belly :) good luck! enjoy getting dresses up for a nice evening before the little one gets here! congrats on a baby girl!
