Hi ladies! I recently just moved to the Joliet area (Houlbolt Rd and Jefferson (rt. 52) is the closest major intersection) and I need to find a good butcher/meat market. I was a frequent at Winston's Market in Tinley Park - and I am looking for something similar. I am very close to Shorewood and Plainfield. Thank you in Advance for your help!

We have had great luck with Tischler's on rt. 59 between renwick and 30.
Sages Old-Fashioned Butcher Shop in Lockport off of Thornton (and McCameron or MacGregor, I think) is a nice little place.
Tischlers in Plainfield is pretty good. I have always found their meat to be fresh & priced comparably. They are on Rt 59 in Plainfield near Rt 30. They have a really friendly staff as well.

If you ever make it as far as Naperville, Casey's on the corner of Gartner & Washington has a great butcher. I'm not sure if this is too far for you. There is also a great children's store in the same strip center, Little One's really cute stuff =)

Try Tischler's in Plainfield. It's on Rt. 59 just south of downtown Plainfield.
Yes... there is a butcher in downtown Plainfield... I don't know the name, but it's on the North side of the street. (Lockport St.)
Wednesday is "ladies day" so you get a discount...
