Need Help Finding Dance Studio for Preschooler in West Omaha

I would like to recommend the studio my daughter attends, which is Pat Carlson Dance Studio, she was in a class of about 10. I know that this is a little farther East than you wanted but Pat and her staff are wonderful with younger girls.

Classes start after Labor day I believe. The recital had all of the classes but each class was given a specific time when to arrive and when in the line up their dance was. You could come and leave without staying for the entire time if you wanted.

I would again recommend The Next Step Dancing with Maren as a great venue; especially for young dancers. The studio is located near 138th and Q and the year-end recital is very manageable. A talented staff who is very family-oriented. Website is:

My daughter started with Maren when she was 3 at another, larger studio. We are very happy to have moved with Maren to a smaller studio where more individual attention is given. She is now 9 and has graduated to the competition team and solos and really enjoys Dancing With Maren!

I think the most important aspect of a studio is that your child is having fun and does not feel pressured at any time; that's what it's all about! Good luck in your search.

My daughter started at Backstage Dance last year when she was only two (in a Mom and tot class)! It is a smaller studio (off the Irvington Exit and 680) and really pretty laid back. The recital was very cute--my three year old son loved it and asked to see it again when it was over! One thing I really liked about the recital was that one of the owners makes most of the costumes, and they are all very appropriate for the girls. No bare middles or skimpy costumes. Cherrie Anderson Dance Studio is located in West Omaha. They offer 1/2 price tuition for preschoolers (comes out to like $28 a month) they meet once a week for 45 minutes and their recital is one hour. The costume fees are built into the tuition so there is no surprise fees. We went to them last year and my daughter loved it (she was 3 as well) they are organized and do very well with the little ones. They teach them ballet and tap. Hope this helps!
