Hey Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can recommend a hotel in San Diego. Specifically in the Pacific Beach/Mission Bay area. Thanks!

Hi N.,
A great place to stay is the Hilton San Diego Resort!! It is a four-diamond resort with alot of nice extras!! It is right on Mission Bay! You exit on Sea World Dr...you can see it right off to your right of the freeway... you can't miss it..it is a very beautiful, tropical-like "Mini Hawaii" without the 5 1/2 hour plane ride or the major air fare woes!! They, like most Hilton's, even have a Kids Klub full of fun activities for your older ones!! Enjoy and Good luck!!

There is a good hotel on Hotel Circle - Used to be called the Hanalei but now I thinks it's a Red Lion...good for FAMILIES!!!
we stayed at the bahia resort last summer & it was great! it's right in mission bay,(close to sea world & walking distance to the beach & small amusement park) you can even get rooms that overlook the bay... they have seals that swim in an area in the front of the hotel & a nice little area where ducks hang out. they also have a lot of activities to enjoy. we went kayaking & took a short night time cruise on the big ferry around the bay (with my 10yr old son - kids are welcome). also, if you have kids (which i would assume you do, since you're on this site!haha), they have nintendo hook ups in the rooms, which is really nice if you want to have a glass of wine out on the terrace & overlook the bay at night, this gives your little one something to keep them busy for a bit!
The Dana and the Hilton are really nice if you have the cash to spare. We stayed at the Holiday Inn this weekend and it was nice because there is room service, a Vons w/a Starbucks and a Target nearby and we were just looking for a place to crash, not a "resort" experience (however, the pool is right next to the restaurant's bar if you are craving a fruity drink to make you feel like you are on vacation). Kids also eat free at the Baker's Square on-site. We only paid $82 through hotwire.com.
