I have boys, so i don't know a lot in this area. But our pediatrician does it. Maybe a more sterile procedure than the mall?!??!
My 11 year old is getting her ears pierced. Any suggestions on where to go in Tampa? I know of the Piercing Pagoda at the malls but was wondering if there are alternates. Thanks!
Thanks for the responses everyone! I kind of liked the tatoo parlor idea (thought it was unique; interesting) however, hubby, not so thrilled. We opted for Claire's at University Square Mall. Yasmine (manager) was awesome....very informative and very patient! We went with Gold and haven't had any issues with infection or any problems! (done 3 days ago)! We are very happy!

A lot of pediatrics offices offer ear piercing where i live. Try calling her dr office and ask, or ask if they know of another office that provides that, or where would be a good place to go. My daughters' ears arent pierced, but if i did get the done, i rather it be at a place where i can trust their equipment and personnel. Otherwise, go to a place where they specifically do piercings (i know you're not getting her belly-button pierced, but the people know exactly what they're doing and i would trust them and their equipment more than Claire's).
When my daughter was 5 she wanted them piercd took her to the peditricans. Disaster. When she was older and asking about it again we took her to the pagoda place in the malls. They really have the best deal and she can pick cutsy earrings. Also jewelery stores do so also. That is where i got mine done when i was wa kid.
Claires will pierce them. I took both my girls to Piercing Pagoda so they could do both ears at the same time. Ask your Dr. if you want to go somewhere else. Tattoo places pierce but I don't think the environment is kid friendly, that's why I went to the mall.
I suggest you read this article before you take her. I found it very enlightening and wish I had read it before I took my daughter. I took her to a place at the mall and had disastrous results:
