I was wondering if anyone has been to see Dr. Caren Reaves who delivers out of Denton Regional or Dr. Christina Dooley who delivers out of Denton Presb. I think that I have narrowed it down to those but I am not sure which to go with or which Hospital. Can anyone help?

What can I do next?

I am Trying to Conceive, and I met with Christina Dooley and LOVED her! I can't speak to her skills in the delivery room, but I can say that she and her staff have awesome bedside manners. Also, Presbyterian has a neo-natal ICU and Regional does NOT. Just an FYI. If there are complications at Regional, they send the newborn to Presbyterian in an ambulance. Dooley is next door to Presbyterian and delivers there. Good luck! :)

i don't know either of those, but i have been beyond pleased with dr indrani reddy. she is VERY personable, as is her staff. she is the only dr in the practice(no PAs or NPs either), so you will see HER. she has seen me through two miscarriages, a full term pregnancy, and recently did a tubal ligation and endometrial ablation. i have absolutely ZERO complaints about her and her staff, not many physicians i can honestly say that about.

I've never seen Caren Reaves or been to Denton Regional, but Dr. Dooley delivered my son (c-section) last year at Denton Presbyterian and she is wonderful. She makes you feel as though she has all the time in the world to answer your questions, and she is very good and knowledgeable. She is very popular, and so there are times when you have to wait at her office. I suppose this is the case with many OBs in a busy practice, especially because emergencies do happen and they have to take care of them.

I had a great experience at the hospital as well, with good nurses (especially before and right after my delivery) and a nice, comfortable room. I stayed for five days because my son spiked a fever and had low blood sugar on day 3, but his nurses were great. They encourage you to have your baby stay with them in the nursery while you sleep for safety, which at times annoyed me.

I have had experience with both drs. and there is no comparison - Dr. Dooley wins!!!! They are not even in the same ballpark as the type of drs. they are. You can PM me and I can give you more details. Dr. Dooley is very thorough, compassionate, loving and deciated. Also, Denton Presby has a NICU in case your baby may need extra care otherwise at Regional your baby would have to be transfered to another hospital. Dr. Dooley was recommended to me by 2 of my friends who are nurses at Presby - one L/D who works nights and weekends - she said Dr. Dooley is the only dr. who sleeps at the hospital on the weekend when she is on call. Also, my kids pedi recommended her along with Dr. Cummings and the other drs. in their practice. You will not be disappointed with Dr. Dooley. I have met a couple of other people who did not have positive experiences with Dr. Reeves also.

Congrats on the new one...and welcome to the area. My doc is Dooley...LOVE HER!!! She was there for my first baby and was there when I found out I was pregnant with triplets the second time. I love love love her nurse (and that makes a big difference). She is young and just a sweet caring person...you know the one who walks in and gives you a hug.

Happy Chosing

I had dooley and I liked her. Presbyterian was okay. My doctor and hospital that I had my first child with in college station were so great that my doc here and hospital didn't come close. I have heard several wonderful things about dr Laura finger. She delivers at regional. Good luck with your search.

Don't know either of the docs you mentioned but Dr Fred Cummings at Denton Pres is fantastic. Took care of my daughter with endometriosis, delivered all three of her kids and did her hyst when necessary. He did surg for me and I used to work Womens Services there and he treats the nurses and patients very well. I'd highly recommend him.

I love Dr. Dooley! She delivered 2 of my kiddos and got me through a fairly tough delivery with one of them. I have delivered at both hosptials and honestly, cant say that one was better than the other. I think the nurses make the difference, and I have had ones I liked, and others I did not care for. I know lots of women that used Dr. Dooley, and all have had great things to say. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask! Good luck with the newest addition. ~A.~

I use Dr. Dooley and LOVE her! I went to her (based on recommendations) for an annual exam last year. I just found out I'm pregnant and went to her for my first exam yesterday. She and her staff were awesome! My husband loved them too. He said he wished he could find a general doc that had her bedside manner! I can't say anything about Presby yet, but have heard good things. Denton Regional I haven't heard such good things about. My SIL had her baby there (not sure which doc) and they didn't get all of her placenta out so she had to be rushed back in on emergency a few days later because she had an infection/high fever. Was there for a few days and unable to be with her new baby. Plus, they don't have a NICU as others have said, and I prefer the peace of mind of having it right there. Good luck and congrats on the new baby! :)
