New to the Keller Area

I just went throught this. We moved here in March andI met w/4 pediatricians before seeing Dr. Terk. He is amazing and is great w/my son. He is part of Cook's Children (which is apparently pretty important) His office is on 1709 and Rufe Snow in that Tom THumb plaza. His # is ###-###-####.

I'm also part of DFW SAHMs group. It is a wonderful bunch of ladies and children that I am still getting to know. I hooked up w/them through matchingmoms.com. If you email Nichole she will send you an invite. We have playdates every Tuesday, and once a month the do a Couples night out and a moms night out.

Keller point is fun and so is Bedford Splash. The Ft worth zoo is amazing. I don't know about you but in Orlando (where I'm from) That zoo is horrible.

Welcome to Keller! I have only been here about 1.5 years...but so far so good. As for peds - I take my kids to Kidcare Ped on Keller Pkwy - right by Kroger. They have 2 Peds in that office, but we have only used/met one - Dr. Lefel.

As for playgroups - I found mine by joining Mom's Club. Through that I got into my current playgroup. They have many different playgroups - all based on the age of your child. Also - the club as a whole plans all different kinds of activities. We have gone to the zoo & parks...all kinds of things! If you want more info - feel free to email me!

S.- I am in the process of building a house in Keller and am very new to the area. I have been asking the same questions. I have recieved some response that I would love to share with you. There are 2 Mom's clubs of Keller (depending on your location)that have playgroups as well as parent activities. And there is a Keller ISD early childhood education PTA that has alot of the same things. If you would like more info I will give you what I have. Welcome to the area.

I use Dr. Georgia McClure with Creekside Pet Care on Davis Blvd. She is terrific. I also use Dr. Kimberly Matlock with Cook Children's on Keller Parkway. She has been wonderful with my 5 month old daughter, but she will soon go on maternity leave with her first child.
