Hi A., In my 20's I had my nose pierced. One time it was infected and had to be pulled out from the inside of my nose. (Yeah, picture that!) After the infection healed I had it redone at the same place and it was great. I wanted a small stud so the one I had was barely noticeable and only seen when people would see the gleam off the stud or I would point it out. I loved it. Then I went into the banking business and choose to have it removed. I HIGHLY recommend you have it done at a tattoo parlor and not at a ear piercing place like some people do. 1) Tattoo parlors are usually better trained and cleaner and use a very long needle that is peirced by hand 2) Ear places use the gun which makes the hole bigger and they use a regular earring which ends up looking tacky once completed.
Tattoo parlor use special studs with long stems and no backs. Once in, the stems are twisted inside ur nose so it wont come out or be seen. I do agree with one person said about ur son. Be careful because they will try to yank it out. I had this done. I won't say it hurt, but it's not a good feeling. Now all I have is a small mark like a dot made with a pen. I know this was from the infection I had and not the piercing. Had I not had the infection, I doubt I would have any mark today. Also, the infection was my fault and not the result or my piercer. I have super sensative skin and should have taken better care of it. I recommed going to Tatu Tattoo here in the city. (Link below) They were great, clean and professional. Good luck and I say "Go for it!!" I would get it done again now that I work from home but I have a daycare in my home and am not sure what other parents would think. Plus I'm 31 now and thinking I'm passed that faze. :)
