I recently moved to Salt Lake and just found out that I am pregnant. I love my current doctor but he is in Ogden and I don't want to travel that far or deliver up there either. Can anyone recommend a good doctor that accepts BCBS insurance?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks to all who answered! I had my first appointment with Dr. Voss on Tuesday, and both my husband and I were very pleased that I went with him.

Doctor Steven Lamb with Millcreek womens center is terrific. He is at St Marks. They are a team of doctors and all of them are great. I have had three kids with Doctor lamb.

I second the suggestion of Stephen Voss. In addition to the great stuff already said about him, I will just add that of the 6 women I personally know who have delivered about 14 kids with him, only 1 of them had a tiny episiotomy when they delivered one of their children & not one ripped. I'm 5'5" & 110 lbs (when not pregnant) and he helped me deliver an almost 9 lb baby with no rips or snips. He is also a very skilled surgeon - good to know if you ever have to have a c-section.

OB/GYN associates in Millcreek. They're right across from St Marks, and they take BCBS. And they are fabulous. I see Dr Yamashiro, and have always been impressed by his friendliness and bedside manner, as well as his humor. He listens to concerns and addresses them and I have never felt brushed off or ignored because my concerns were overreacting (which I tend to do, lol)
###-###-####, I think is their number. Call soon, they are quite busy. (But they always kept times open for the mothers-to-be who need to be seen in just a week or so)

Dr. Kimberly Clayton Family Practice/OB she's located in West Valley right behind the Pioneer Valley Hospital. She has some Chiropractic training but isn't going to go all granola on you if you'd rather not :) I'm LOVING her (I'm preggo with my third and had to switch because of a move just like you). We also have BCBS so you're set!
Her clinic numer is: ###-###-####

Dr Stephen Voss- I know he takes BCBS (I have regence) And he is the best OB I have ever had (I've had 4 and a midwife). He delivers at SL Regional (my preference) and LDS. He's at 3rd south and 850 east. Also he bills globaly- you make a larger payment at each of your visits and you end up paying your entire deductable before your baby is born. Labs are drawn in office (no going to the hospital for blood work every other month!) and he's very down to earth of his expectations of you (I tend to put on a LOT of weight durring my pregnancies and he doesn't scold - although he will mention if there is a huge jump in a short time)
