OBGYN In Champaign, IL

I love Carle!! And also Dr. Sheppard and the team of midwives at Carle. They are all so wonderful and professional.

I would also second the team of midwives at Carle! I had a traditional OB/GYN throughout my pregnancy but was lucky to get one visit with a midwife towards the end and it was SO much better than any visits with my doctor had been. Carle was a pretty good place to deliver. They have tubs etc. and lots up up-to-date equipment, & GREAT lactation consultants. Good luck!

I just had my first baby 4 months ago and went to Women's Health Practice. I had Carol Thomas as a midwife and loved her! Unfortunatly I ended up with an emergency csection and had Dr. Trupin perform the procedure...she was fine but I was really hoping for a "normal" delivery. Good news is she was there within 10 minutes and it was in the middle of the night so I was really impressed by her quickness to get to the hospital!

I had my baby at Provena. I know a few people that work for both hospitals and one of my coworkers had a baby at both Carle and Provena and she swears by Provena. They have more nurses on the floor. I don't know what I would have done without the nurses at Provena...they were AMAZING!!

Dr. Frank was great but he is no longer practicing. Dr. Dillard delivered my last at Carle and she was awesome!

hi there i have a woman by the name Kathy Hinton at cristi clinic down town champaign. she is wonderful all though my pregnacny and everytime i see her she i just great. i prefer covenet over carle because carle is more rush u in rush u out like u are just a number they just arent as nice.

We definitely like Provena over Carle. We saw Dr. Helfer at Christie Clinic. She was good. I have also heard good things about the midwives at Christie from friends that saw them, and I have heard excellent things about Dr. Nelson (also at Christie).
