Office Prank Fun

My coworker/supervisor is getting married near the end of this month. He will be gone the last week & 2 days of this month.

hehe :)

Anybody know of any good office prank ideas? He has his own office, not shared with anyone.

We thought about filling it with balloons, but that's a lot of balloons to inflate, and then pop!

Thought about wrapping things in aluminum foil, but that stuff is expensive! And I already wrapped a couple other coworkers desks with plastic wrap & newspaper.... haha

My best idea so far is to create a "crime scene." So any ideas for that will be fine too!

Anything related to "you're married now!" would be good as well. We will also be a couple months away from our company's big, tons of overtime hours (and headaches... lol) in preparation for Black Friday. Bah.. that's become a bad word for us :P

What can I do next?

You could toliet paper the room, also maybe steal his stapler and a couple of othe small office items and put them in a jello mold (per The Office show). Maybe use wedding wrapping papaer and gift wrap all of their stuff, including chair and table.

OMG!!! This is the best post EVER!! I am jealous that you are doing this and that I'm not in on it! However, we have pulled some serious doozies on numerous people where I work. Thank God I work in an environment where humor can be appreciated and that people are good sports. Here's a few good ones that my co-workers thoroughly enjoyed.....

1. We made a life-sized replica of our boss out of crumpled newspaper and duct tape. We even put clothes on his amd glasses too. We sat him at his desk and put empty beer cans, wine bottles, and other interesting things all over the place. On a note-pad infront of him we put THINGS TO DO...give the warehouse a raise, send all the admins for a spa day, the soda machines are now going to be free, flip-flops and shorts on all Fridays....you get the drift. He DIED! Plus...he still has his "clone" in a chair in his office. Tooooooo funnnyyy!!

2. We took cheap masking tape and taped the entire entrance and desk area of our co-worker to death! I mean it looked a spider came in and made a web of tape all over the joint! It was good.

3. We went to Costco and bought a giant bag of Charmin...like 40 rolls in it. We papered the office and left no stone unturned. The whole bag set us back $16.00 and it was well worth the YARDS of fun we had making this guy's office into Toilet Paper Town. Then we took photos of our handiwork and put them on Facebook. It was pretty great and the guy still talks about it to this day.

4. Here's one that they did to me.....somehow, someway, they took our PA system and put it on "open mike" on my phone line. Everytime I made a phone call or so much as picked up that phone, my voice was tunneling through the building. AND...they had two outside sales guys that were our customers call in and ask me horribly weird stuff on the phone. Like one of them asked me if I was going to the Gay Pride Parade this year with Shirley and if I was doing my Karaoke of Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath my Wings?" The whole office was on the floor laughing and I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the phones AND contain the conversations at the same time! HILARIOUS!!

Anyway...I hope you come up with some good stuff because I love a great office prank. Please tell us what happens because now I'm going to be dying to know! Maybe since he's getting married you can put a plastic ball & chain on his chair and decorate his office as if it was a crypt or a funeral. Go to Spencer's and get some cheap props...they have the greatest stuff on the fly!

Filling it with crumpled newspaper? We used to do this in the dorms...the campus paper was free.

My husband's colleagues and him ordered 5 massive containers of packing peanuts that they filled their manager's office with. It took forever to clean them up, and he got them back royally a few months later requiring them all to rent tuxedos on a casual night at an annual meeting for the company.

So, be cautious that what goes around may come around.

I do like the crime scene idea as well. I'm in an office for the first time in a decade, and there are NO pranks of any kind.

Another mean thing they did was to put a catfish sandwich on a shelf of a coworker's office behind some binders. It quickly stank horribly. He was so embarrassed thinking it was his shoes, etc. But, that will affect everyone and not just the groom.

I had a co-worker with a very small sense of humor going though a bad time and nothing was helping her so I decided to do something off the wall when she was taken on a long lunch. It only requires two items a role of tape and crochet thread. I made a huge spider web. I crawled under her desk, over her desk, threaded her chair, went from wall to wall and around, over and under anything that was in the office and anything else I could it took a while but when she got back it was priceless. She laughed until she had tears rolling down her face. She even took pictures to show her family and we got calls from them Thanking us for making her see that she could still laugh.

When one of our other co-workers got married they had an electric can opener on their list and I was in charge of gift buying and giving for the office. When she came back I had the can opener on her desk plus a box of 40 canned goods missing labels that I had numbered (I had a list for backup) and she would try to guess what it was before she fixed dinner for her husband, he loved it and they ate things that she would have never bought on her own. I bought cans of different sizes and shapes so some were really easy to guess but others were not so easy, she called me 4 times at night to see what was in the can after she opened it. It is still the considered the best prank in my old office.
