I have several years worth of National Geographic magazines..do any of you know of someplace that could utilize them (primary schools, daycares, etc.) I hate to toss them and I know that libraries won't accept them.
Where do you live? In Lawrenville highway there is a s hopping center with WalMart, etc (tucker) close to the post office which have containers where they ask for clothing and books donations You drop everything in the containers I hope this help you

Westminister school in atlanta collects them for needy children. Maybe you could give them a call. I gave some last year. J
It is surprising how many people archive Great magazines like National Geographic. It might warrant placeing an ad on Craig's List "for free". Also, remember that thrift stores sell an amazing number of magazines and support good causes and community services. If you donate these bundled in chhronilogical order and get a receipt, you will be helping support a cause and get a tax deduction as well . . .I think about 25 to 35 cents per issue. Ask the IRS or your CPA.

I recycle mine with Northside Mental Health. Maybe the Cobb county Clinic would like them or one of the hospitals in the area. I know MANY do not have the funding for magazine subscriptions and like/love getting these donated to them. I have two bags FULL for Northside right now.
