I think she is too young to enjoy it enough to be worth the expense.
Kids that age have just as much fun at a picnic in the park with mom and dad.
We are planning to take my almost 2 yr. old daughter to the Dallas World Aquarium this weekend and I wanted some advice from those of you that have been there before. It's $18.95 per adult to get it (my daughter is free since she's under 3) or we could buy a membership for $150. I'm concerned that we might not get our money's worth in a just a couple of hours- they are opened from 10-5 but my daughter usually naps from 12:30-2:30 so we can either go a couple of hours before or after her nap. So do you think it would be worth it for us to buy a membership so that we can go multiple times to make sure we see everything? Does anyone know if the membership is good for a year from the date of purchase? or how the membership works? Any advice would be appreciated! TIA!

I took my 3 y/o daughter there this summer and as much as she loves nature and animals and such, she seemed a little bored. Her favorite parts were the otters and the manatee, but other than that she could take it or leave it. I personally would not waste $$ on the membership. Definatley go and visit so you can see what its all about.
My 2 year old LOVES FISH so we have taken her to this Aquarium twice. Yes it is $$$ so we only go once a year. It does get crowded on weekends so WEEKDAYS are a better time to go! I consider it more a ZOO/Aquarium...it is large and we always have a great time when we go. It runs us $50 when we go for Me, my hubby and DD is free + parking. Since we only go once a year it doesnt seem worth the money to buy a membership. As we have memberships to both Dallas and the Fort Worth Zoos as well as Gymboree Play and Music...so this keeps her pretty busy.
If you plan on going more than 3 times a year than get the membership other wise dont waist the money on one. A couple of hours is plenty of time to see everything!
It was a good experience for us, but not worth a membership. One trip a year is plenty.
We used to have business meetings there and then would go through the aquarium. It is nice but has a really musty, moldy smell too. If she has allergies, I would be aware of that too. It is a nice aquarium though and worth the money.
My kids love it there. We go every year on the first of January as a family tradition. It's very interesting but don't know how it would hold your little one's attention...definatly go once first before you invest in a membership.
At this point, I wouldn't waste your money. Last time we went it was VERY crowded. It is not like aquarium in other places. You can't really just walk around. You are packed in like cattle about to be branded. We couldn't use our stroller. Luckily we have one you can carry on your back and we were having to pass our daughter back and forth.
Hi there,
I worked there for about 5 years total-with a break in between. It is really a neat place, especially with the expansion, but it is so expensive. I would not buy a membership just yet. I think you should go once and then see. Also, I just bought a membership to the zoo-$79 for the family. It's outdoors and not quite as neat, but I don't think the kiddos mind. Anyway, please email me or call ###-###-#### if you have any questions.

It is nice, but not THAT nice. You can certainly see EVERYTHING in just a couple of hours... their prices are high, and there was some concern recently that it may need to shut down b/c of lack of funding, so go while you can!!
