DFW Shredding does small batches you bring to them. http://www.dfwshredding.com/
I found them while hunting for a shredding company for my office-- after someone killed the 4th or 5th shredder.
Does anybody know of a company in the area where I can take a few trash bags of paperwork that I need to get shredded? I don't mind paying for it or anything, I just want to get rid of all this extra junk I have! I don't have the time or desire to sit behind a shredder for hours on end.

You might want to call your local high school. Often, the Life Skills programs (for students with disabilities) will use paper shredding for trainning for job skills. Just ask to speak with the special ed. or Life Skills department head.
Check with the person in charge of recycling for your city and see if they have anything scheduled. We have a trash-off day here in Coppell every year (in fact is was day before yesterday) and some years they have had a shredding truck there.
Also the mailbag in Coppell has a large shredder. I know people can come in and shred their own . . . I don't know if they do it for you for a fee.
Well, A., I don't have a shredding company but I would be glad to shred your junk for you. I am a 48 year old grandmother of 6. I was a teacher but was forced to retire due to a lung disease. As a result, I can't do anything to strenuous. And I don't believe running paper through a shredder would be too taxing. Just let me know. You can pay me what you think it's worth. I live in Arlington in the 76013 area. I will be out of town for a week but after that should be around indefinitely. My home number is ###-###-#### and my name is J. Black.

I know the City of Fort Worth has done some free shredding, however I believe it is at certain times of the year. You might try calling the City of Fort Worth, not sure what department.
As far as other companies, I've seen trucks around town, however I've never personally used any of these companies. Sorry, I'm not much help there. Please let us know what you find out and if you use one of the companies. I'd love to know more about this, prices,etc....
