We do the valet. It is worth it to us. If not valet, park inside the park. It is about $10. Valet was $20 last year.
Hi Moms,
My husband and I have decided to brave the State Fair this weekend with our little one...does any one have any great ideas on the best place to park?! Thanks in advance!

Take the Dart. That's what we did, saves a lot of hassle.

We've been going to the State Fair for years and we have always used the parking inside the fairgrounds($10). I would not feel safe with my car parked any where else.
If you have stroller for little one, please take it. Their little legs get tired after walking around the fairgrounds. It was a big saver for us last year with our 2yo. She walked a little and rode a little.
Have fun!
if you are willing to risk the train/bus (in terms of safety of your child w/o a car seat) that is the best. Otherwise I would just recommend biting the bullet and parking in the regular fair parking lot (which I think cost around $10 to park) because outside of the fair grounds I would worry about my car still being there when I got back.
Since you are taking a little one with you, I would park inside the fair park fence. It will cost you $10, but will be well worth it when you're carrying a tired kiddo out to the car! Also, if you go as close to opening time as possible, the parking won't be so bad.....the fair doesn't seem to get massively crowded until late in the afternoon. (Granted, it's always crowded, but if you've ever been there after 5 pm, you know what I mean!!)
We always take Dart. My son loves riding the bus. It makes it even more fun!
