Descanso Gardens in La Canada is great - every Thursday through Sunday they have a miniature train that kids and parents can ride on. It's also really nice to just stroll around. There's also Kidspace Children's museum in Pasadena next to the Rose Bowl - it's a must-visit if you live in the area.
Glendale Community College offers Parent Education(M&M) classes. There are some Parent Ed. classes going at 1700 Foothill Blvd. La Cananda, Ca 91011 (behind the church). Great parenting support!! Good luck!!!!
The first place I would look in Meetup.com. Do a search for SAHM (Stay-at-home-moms) groups in your area. If you don't find one close enough, start up your own! There are plenty of Moms out there just like you that want to have other Moms to talk to and other kids for their little ones to interact with :-) Good luck!

There's a site called meetup.com it has lots of mom groups that meet for playdates and mommy time. Its a great site and very resourceful. I use it and have met many moms with kids my age and older.
