Please Help Me Out with Ideas

i need some help. i want to lose some weight by june 1. not alot about 10 lbs or so would be nice. my husband will be returning from germany then and i kind of want to slim it down alittle before then. please any advice you might have for me would be great.....thanks a million

I walk one mile a day and then jog another mile. There is a park near my house that has a track. I bring the kids with me and let them play on the jungle gym while I walk/jog. They are always in eye sight. Not only I want to keep my weight together, but I also want to have a healthy heart. I heard that walking is the way to go for us women :-)

There is an exercise program on Lifetime (TV channel) that is aired at 7:00-7:30am Mon-Fri with Denise Austin. This is a very excellent exercise program, it helps me loose weight along with being consistent in eating healthy. Also I try to go walking at least twice per week. I also practice to do crunches during TV time.

South Beach Diet! It is easy and you can lose 8-10 pounds easily in the first 2 weeks without being hungry.

If you can spare 1/2 hour a day you should try Walk away the pounds with Leslie Sansone. You can get the DVD pretty much anywhere and it really helps.

Start today by writing everything you eat and the time. if you can stated my portions. Don't change what you eat for two day. It will help you see a patter of what you eat. Main thing ids to be consistant with at least one meal.
Breakfast a cup of oatmeal with a half of fruit and water
Lunch a salad with chicken tuna or turkey. Or a sandwich with the other half of a fruit. Drink water before and after each meal.
Afternoon snack anything you have in your fridge like yogurt cottage cheese rice cakes with peanut butter... Not sure what you crave ....
Dinner anything as long as it's portion are not alot example 3 oz . of proteins 1 cup of a starch and two cups of Veg, and a fruit. apple grapes, mangos whatever you like..
Staying to these meals changing the food but maintiaing your portion is approximately 1600 calories. So that that means is that you have to burn more that that in the next month and a half. That is the only way you will lose bodyfat and stay healthy. Try walking around the house situps body squats , wall pushups. Don't just sit around on your butt!@ :) Good Luck. Hi K.
I am also trying to lose weight without losing energy, my son, Noah is 6 months old and I'm still breastfeeding full-time. I am about 5 lbs away from my pre-pregancy weight and want to lose 10 lbs. I think eating healthy is most important, we eat a lot of dinners like salmon w/ green beans and potatos, breaded chicken over salad, turkey burgers... I snack on fruit and baby carrots. Noah and I walk 2 miles everyday and run 1 mile about 4 times a week. I have been running for 2 weeks now, and I feel thinner so hopefuly by summer I'll look good in a bathing suit (aaagh, scary).

You've got a good amount of time to lose 10 lbs. in two months. I have always liked Weight Watcher's plans. They are flexible, they allow a lot of variety in what you eat, and it's not like those ones where you have to order the food from someplace that's so expensive.

Now that the weather is nice, try to incorporate some outside time. Play at the park with your little girl, or take her for a walk in her stoller. A half hour a day will burn a surprising amount of calories!

I have lost 23lbs (and 7 inches in my waist) since Jan 1st. Here are some things I have done...
count calories there are tons of online sites that tell you how many you should eat for your height,desired weight and activity level.
watch your carbs- switch to whole grain bread and pasta's
eat plenty of lean meats (chicken breast/steak) and veggies...personally I make alot of stirfrys.
avoid fast food you may think something is healthy but it really isn't
cut out soda even diet- drink water and alot of it
remember moderation w/ treats- like if you want a candy bar buy the minatures have one or two then put the rest away.The 100 calories packs are good too.
You need to exercise it doesn't have to be going out and running but whatever to get your body moving. Putting on music and dancing with your kids. Get creative.

a few tips from my dr., mother, and friends....they've helped me a bit... 1st my dr. told me to make sure i eat. that happens to be my problem, i don't eat OFTEN enough. to lose weight, you have to eat 4-5 times a day. 1 big meal (either breakfast, or lunch), snack 1-2 times (fruit, healthy snack bars, whatever you prefer), then a smaller healthier dinner. my mother did oatmeal for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch and 2 snacks inbetween (she got sliced apples and just picked on them whenever she felt hungry), then a small dinner...she lost 10 lbs in 1 month. my friend suggested the lemonade diet http://www.geocities.co.jp/Beautycare-Venus/2032/english/...
and lost 16 lbs in 3 weeks. but she also walked her son just about every day. i tried the oatmeal thing and lost a few lbs, but haven't tried the lemonade diet yet. so far, the thing that has worked for me is just eating throughout the day. i have a slow metabolism, so eating more often (everything i normally eat during a day, just broken up into 4-5 meals) and that's what works for me, but those other 2 ways have worked for others. i wish you luck in surprising your husband!

start exercising and reducing portions of food. Weigh yourself weekly to see progress. Exercising is very important so you have you to do it in order to lose weight. Good luck!

Hi K.: 10lbs isn't alot but I know what you mean. A few years back before I got married, (now divorced) I did slim fast. I was not aware that I could have healthy snacks in between). But I did the Special K Diet where you eat that twice a day and you are supposed to lose somewhere around 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Have it for breakfast and lunch and have a normal dinner. It worked for me for my wedding day. Raisin Bran does the same thing too. I can give you this advice because for me it worked and it didn't take that long either.

Good luck and let me know how you make out. Special K is definitely alot cheaper than Slim Fast..

the last few lbs can be the hardest to lose.
you want to make sure you're eating enough calories especially if you're exercising. you want to be eating 3 meals and 2 snacks, so you're essentially eating every 2-3 hours. eat whole grains, wheat bread and pastas, brown rice. limit other starches like corn and white potatoes. eat tons of fruits and veggies. lean proteins, fish, chicken, red meat.. whatever you like. just watch how you cook them. no frying. no heavy sauces. there is a new south beach diet book of just recipes that has some delicious food. which can all be prepared in 30 min or less which is awesome when you have kids. you should exercise too, to keep things firm as you lose the weight. there are also classes you can take with your 2 yr old if you don't have much of your own time that you will get exercise and spend time with her too.
i lost 25 with diet and exercise. it takes a little time but you will feel fantasic in the process. stay away from the crazy fad diets. you should want to be healthy as part of your lifestyle. the results will last, and you never know you might like it!!
