Hello. My 5 year old has problems with constipation and having "poop accidents". She needs to see a pediatric gastrointologist. Does anyone know of a good doctor? I am in the Westminster area. I have Anthem Blue Cross insurance. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!Thank you in advance!

So What Happened?

I've made her an appointment with Dr. Brumbaugh at Children's. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions. If you know about this Dr., please let me know!

Both of my daughters, ages 2 and 4, see Dr Edwin Lui at Children's Hospital. He is a great GI dr. I can't say enough about him. He is great with the girls, who are usually very scared just because it's a dr., he always answers all of my questions and takes his time.

I'm not sure about your insurance but i'm sure you can look online and figure it out. It's usually a 4 week wait to get in but it seems to be that way at childrens with any of the drs and he's very worth the 30 minute drive!

Good luck. We dealt with the same issues for almost 2 years before getting things figured out. Life is much better now.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Neigut at Children's. We never went because the issues resolved. The staff was nice enough.

Dr. Stathos was recommended by our son's doctor. He did surgery for her son, and will probably end up being the doctor who does it for our son. I know people who has seen other doctors in his practice, and everyone has been incredibly pleased with the care they have received. My son's doctor speaks very highly of him. I do have his info. I don't know where his offices are, but I do know as of last August, he was covered by our Anthem BCBS plan.

I hope the link works. If not, I got to it through Pres./St. Luke's website under find a doctor, gastroenterology, male.

GL! I hope you can get some relief soon!

Have you looked into the childrens hospital. They usually have a list of specialized doctors andpretty sure they are all good. HAve never heard one bad thing about anything or anyone related to the childrens hospital. They have satelite offices throughout so you may not have to travel to Aurora. I have Anthem blue cross and my daughter was recommended to a cardiologist there and we love him.
