I love the book "Sticky Situations". It is for kids of all ages. Each day has a different senario then it give 5 choices on what the person should do in each situation and the Bible verse that relates to the correct choice.
Good luck!
Hello! I am a second grade teacher at a private school. We say prayers every morning and I am looking for a good book to use in the classroom. I checked at Barnes and Noble and they had board books for babies/toddlers and beginner Bibles for older kids, but I am looking for something for 2nd graders. I would like a book that has short little "lessons" to read each day. Any ideas?

I would definitely check out Northwestern Bookstore. However, the store in Roseville (located in HarMar) is a clearence outlet and will have a very limited selection. I know that they have a store in Woodbury and I think Coon Rapids (in the new development shopping area) as well. I would look both in their homeschooling section, childrens section as well as their parenting section. I say the parenting section, since I have picked up some fabulous kids/ family devotionals. A devotional will have a Bible verse for the day as well.
Hope that helps! It's so great to hear of teachers looking for things like this to bring to their classrooms!
You don't mention if you prefer the books perspective to come from a specific religion, but I'd recommend going to a christian bookstore for a wide variety of books to choose from.
Northwestern Books is great for kids books, toys, movies and faith centered games and activities, such as craft kits. I think there are several store locations. I know of the ones located in Minnetonka, and Roseville to be certain.
www.christianbooks.com carries a very large selection of children's books, and at really good prices. They have deep discounts on books, and great sales regularly.
If you're looking for books that are Catholic in focus, Northwestern has a limited selection, and I'd recommend Leaflet Missal in St. Paul (www.leafletonline.com), St. Patrick's Guild (St. Paul and Richfield/www.stpatrick'sguild.com), Lohmann's in Woodbury, or Apostle in Minnetonka.

Check our Parables Bookstore. I don't know where you are located, but I am sure they have online access. For Parables Books and Gifts (in Omaha, NE) the Web site is www.Parables.com. It is a wonderful store! I don't know if it is a chain or not, but I would guess yes.
