I am going through this right now - I am having terrible hot flashes, night and day. I feel very moody and "not my self".
You can buy a tiny little personal fan that you can use on the desk top or table - that helps me at work. I also dress in layers and take my sweater on and off all day long. I sleep in just a light tank top, although I still wake up burning hot. I wasn't getting any sleep for awhile because of the night hot flashes - someone told me to try Tylenol PM and that helped me stay asleep all night.
I went to the gyn the other day because I have been so uncomfortable. He prescribed Zovia a low dose birthcontol, In the past I have not like how birthcontrol has made me feel in the past. I did fill the prescription but have not taken it yet - not sure if I will.
My gyn also suggested drinking a cup of soy mild each day - he said alot of woman claim that it works very well.
I am trying to accept my changing body but that is very hard - I feel very depressed about everything going "south". I have started to exercise a little more, which hopefully will help with my mood.
Anyway, I will be watching your post for suggestions, as you can tell from my answers I really have not found a perfect solution to this.
