I send my two girls (almost 2 yrs and 6 yrs)to Peppermint Stick Children's Center. They have two locations, Round Lake and Grayslake. We have been attending the one in Grayslake and my kids love it. Their pre-school program was wonderful and my daughter was very prepared for kindergarten and sailed through it last year with ease. The teachers have been great and very patient with getting my younger child adjusted to school. I highly recommend them.

We are really happy with Mundelein Cooperative Preschool. Both my son and daughter have gone there. They really encourage the parents to be involved and it is a really cute one classroom school house. The 3-4 year olds meet TTH AM or PM and the 4-5 year olds meet MWF AM or PM. They are located on the western edge of Mundelein and the are some families who are from Round Lake.

One of my boys attended the RL Park District Pre-School and we were happy with that. My youngest son attended Trinity Lutheran Preschool right near the Long Lake train station. We love them! We were a little worried since we are not Lutheran but they really welcome everyone with open arms. Both my children now attend their after school care. Cost is also very reasonable and your child will get quality care. After-school care at RLPD was not to our standard so we looked for other alternatives and found TYS (Trinity Youth Services).
