I use one that is sold in the supermarket. It comes in presized packets (powdered). I would just give the regular amount each day. You can also give him yogurt with it.
My little guy is just getting over a stomach bug and now was put on an antibiotic for an ear infection. Do you mamas know if I can double up on probiotics to get his gut straightened out (between the bug and antibiotics it's a mess)? Thanks! His belly thanks you!

Yes you can. Culturelle makes a powder one for kids that you can mix in their drink.
If he is on the antibiotic now , he should not be taking the probiotic at the same time. When my kids are on a twice a day antibiotic I usually give the probiotic in the middle of the two doses. In other words 6 hours after the morning dose.
Just give him the regular dose. Make sure it's a variety that your pediatrician approves of. Some probiotics are made just for kids.
I was going to say the same thing try some yogurt.
We used Udo's Choice Probiotic Infant Blend, recommended by our ped when our son had a bacterial infection of the intestinal system. You can order it online.
If he doesn't have a problem with dairy. Try Activia yogurt. I had to do that for my daughter when she was given a strong antibiotic for Bronchitis. It did help.
