Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if there any pumpkin patches out here that we can take the kids to search for their own pumpkins. I am from California and there was one that I use to take my son to every year.

I would like to take my kids & my neice. Any suggestions???

Thanks,
D.

I think at Schnef Farms in Queen Creek you can do that. They have all kinds of fun fall stuff out there.

Check out Vertuccio Farms, too. www.vertucciofarms.com It is a little cheaper than Mother Nature's Farm- at least kids get in free.

Have fun!

Schnepff Farms...just google them. It is a wonderful 'agri-entertainment' experience, from pumpkin patches, to hayrides, pick your own veggies, BBQ, home made apple pies, corn maze, rides, etc. Pretty busy and popular on the weekends.
Also, look at Phoenix's Tourism site for other harvest places. :)
Have fun choosing a pumpkin!!

Hi D., Try Mother Natures Farms in Gilbert. It's on Baseline between Gilbert and Stapley. Their website is www.mothernaturesfarm.com. Have fun!

I know what you mean! We are from CA and were disappointed in the amount of pumpkin patches out here. We usually go to Mother Nature's Farm. They also have a few animals and a fair going on soon. If you go to their website, all the info. is there. They are in N. Gilbert: Baseline and west of Lindsey.

Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek is the best place to go during Halloween. They have a big "celebration" every weekend in October - rides for the kids, a corn maze, food. It's sort of expensive, but it's fun.

Hi D.,

I would agree that Schnepff farms is a fun pumpkin patch. They do have tons to do...the only drawback is it is in Queen Creek so unless you live in the East Valley it could be quite the drive. If you do go, plan on spending a lot of time there. Frys usually has discounted tickets as well. The other place you could go is Mother Natures Farm which is on Gilbert and Baseline (again if you live in the East Valley). It is much smaller than Schnepff and half the price but they have hay rides, bounce house, pick your own pumpkins from the pumkin patch, crafts, a maze and even a little petting zoo. You can look both of these up online. If you live in the west valley I would look in the newspaper for some out there.

Have fun!

Hi D.,

Schnep(sp?) Farms out in Queen Creek used to have one. Not sur if they do anymore. We used to go to Youngs Farm in Dewey (close to Prescott), but they closed down the farm and moved out of state...so I'm looking for a good one too. I would check out the farm in Queen Creek and hopefully other moms will have other great suggestions.
Have fun!

There is one on Baseline/Gilbert called Mother Nature's you can go & get pumpkins & then the kids can paint them, hayrides, petting zoo. (thye also do x-mas tree's at Christmas)

Then in Queen Creek there is Schnepfs farms they have all sorts of rides, train etc... but they are a little more expensive. (they also do Christmas stuff there at Christmas time) good luck SAHM of 2 girls

Definitely Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, if you buy your tickets at Fry's you save a couple of bucks. Unlimited rides are included with the tickets, pet the animals, the mazes. If you are trying to save money plan to eat before you go or after because the food is expensive too. There are fireworks at the end of everynight - runs thursday to sunday. And ofcoarse the huge pumpkin patch to pick from. We go every year and the kids have an absolute blast and talk about it all year long!

I know the Desert Botanical Gardens by the zoo will have some sort of pumpkin patch October 24th-26th (you might want to check the dates on their website) with a hay ride and the kids can choose a free pumpkin with admission. Obviously they're just shipped in, but it's something.

There is a great one in Gilbert that we went to last year off of Baseline and Gilbert. It sits on Baseline just west of Gilbert. It was a lot of fun!
