Rain

I did my cleaning and laundry all morning....now I'm going to bake brownies and fix a comfort meal (beans and cornbread or lasagne). Then I'll read or watch another good movie. I watched "Mr. Holland's Opus" while folding clothes and felt inspired...

I LOVE rainy days!

I'm taking my girls the library...something we haven't done since we've moved here.They both love to read, as do I , so hopefully they'll enjoy it!!

Well let's see,,since I'm "flat busted" (and don't have any money either - LOL!) a much desired shopping spree at the mall is out this week. I could do some cleaning around the house but nah,,a good rainy day deserves something better! Maybe since hubby had to work today I'll take my son to see one of the movies out (pirates, or surf's up). I'll read what everyone else is doing and maybe steal a fun idea from another mama! lol I just know it really needs to clear up before tomorrow - promised our son a day at the lake for swimming, fishing and picnic. He's been great all week earning that and I sure don't want to hear about it if it gets spoiled! Hope you all have a great rainy day! If it's not lightning and dangerous, go out and dance w/ your kids in the rain - we do! :-)

Well we don't watch much TV in our home, but rain is our excuse to watch just a little. We also go to malls, especially ones with parking garages, so we don't get wet. And our favorite thing to do is have a "dance party." We turn on some old 80's music and act like lunatics dancing around the house and singing. It's great exercise too, and since we don't do it too often, it doesn't get old. My 18 month old loves it!

Luckily it has stopped raining over here so we're going to walk around "Mckinney Days" aka 3rd Monday. That's always fun. Good Luck and I hope all of you have a great day!

First, we took our almost 3 year old to see "Surfs Up". We made it half way through the movie and left because he was getting loud and restless. Then, when he realized we were going home he would not get out of the car, so we went to Kidz Muze in Coppell on Sandy Lake. There was a sign in the window saying that they were closed due to Father's Day. Finally, we went to Vista Ridge Mall to the play area on the lower level next to Dillard's. We let him play for 45 minutes and then we went home.

We are going to the Museum of Natural Science and History to see the Star Wars exhibit!

Woke up this morning and snuggled with the little one. I mae breakfast and then played w/the little one.
Got dressed and went to Target and waited for ex to p/u my 2 yr old for Father's Day wkend.
Mom and I went to the dollar tree and the went to the Dillard's and Macy's. Mom and I had some gift cards that we needed to redeem that we got for Mother's Day.
Bought a Really cute Chocolate Brown blouse @ Dillards and bought a couple of shirt and pants @ Macy's. They have a AWESOME Sale @ Macy's this wkend for Father's Day. I spend $9.99 on a pair of Great Jeans that the Original price was $48.00 and a pair of capri's that we on sale from $50.00 to $19.00.

I catered a wine tasting dinner party at a couple's(who I babysit for) new house and had so much fun.

Today was a AWESOME Day for me:)

Well, I am a bit late with this but we (dd and I) drove to Possum Kingdom lake to pick up my son at camp (280 min round trip) and then back to Dallas, on to a picnic given by a large group we are in in Carrollton and then to take one of our sick furbabies to Kaufman for surgery and a lengthy vet visit......today will be wash all the camp clothes as all were packed together and wet (gotta love teen boys) and maybe the dollar movie....
