Since it has been so hot outside, we were considering getting a kiddie pool. Does anyone have any recommendations?

What can I do next?

We tried numerous inflatable pools. I found them to be terrible especially Banzai. So I was finally able to track down a Step2 Big Splash Center (blue hard plastic pool with slide) from Big Toy Express in Mount Prospect. Supply is very limited as this pool was discontinued from Step2 (not sure why as it's a great pool). It is a wee expensive. I have seen some others in our neighborhood that have a standing pool from Target (you wouldn't empty the water out) and would need a filtration system but those seem reasonable for the type of pool that it is.

We found one last year that seems to withstand the summer much better than the typical inflatables. It's a springform pool with an inflatable top ring, so the pool mostly just pops into shape and then the inflatable top ring is what keeps it up above the water. It is much more durable than the regular inflatables which always seem to get a slow leak somewhere. This pool has lasted most of last year and this year without issue... we went through 2 pools before that in 2 summers. I don't remember the brand. Got it at Target.

We got a cute little froggie pool with a canopy from Target for about $15. I like that it provides a little shade from the sun or protection from the breeze.
