Searching for That OB in Torrance Area

I'm pregnant for the first time and very excited about it. I recently went to see Dr. Fisher and even though she's good and her staff is nice, I didn't feel that she was all that warm with her. I mean it's my first pregnancy and she didn't even prescribe me prenatals. I had to ask her staff and they gave me samples. She only answers questions if I ask them, but since it's my first baby, I may not know all the questions to ask. Had I known about Dr. Pinkus (in same office), I would have chosen her but it doesn't look good that I switched to her colleague. Can anyone recommend me a female OB?

I too was a patient of Dr. Fisher and found her to be quite cold. It wasn't an issue until my first pregnancy, which unfortunatley resulted in a miscarriage (the baby had stopped growing when I went in for my 10-week appointment). After the D&C, I switched to Dr. Cristal Lynch. She is warm, caring and always takes the time to answer any questions I have. She is located at 3440 Lomita Blvd. Ste 252. Her number is ###-###-####.

Congratulations on your first pregnancy. how exciting! My OB is Dr. Latrice Allen and she is amazing. Her staff is also great and i never had to wait long to see her. She is in Torrance and her number is ###-###-####. I would definitely give her a call b/c you will be in and out of the doctors office throughout these nine months and you want to feel comfortable and secure with your doctor during this exciting but also nervewracking time.
Good Luck!

Hello C.. First, congrats on your pregnancy!!! I wanted to say that it is possible that the doctor didn't prescribe the prenatal vitamins because they are available over the counter. just a thought :)Secondly, she can't answer questions that aren't asked, so that might be another situation. I strongly advise that you read the book (if you're not already) called What To Expect When You're Expecting. This book is extremely informative, and even though I had previously had two children, I used it for my last pregnancy, as a refresher. I believe that any question you may have will either be answered in the book, and if not, the subject will be brought up, so you can make note of it and ask the doctor when you see him/her. If you don't already have the book, I have my old one if you are interested in it. You can send me a note privately and we can communicate through that avenue. I wish you the best of luck :)

Hi C., Don't worry about changing OB's in the same office, they are used to things like that and I've heard similar discussions about Dr. Fisher for years, so that's her personality. If it doesn't fit , move on, but I would care less about hurting someone's feelings.
Some office partners deliver each other's patients, Dr. Fisher might be the one on call when you deliver. Ask the question on the phone.
good luck, Deb
