Hi ladies.. I'm a mother of 4 and right now my kids go to Crestwood Pediatric....I only have been in the manassas area for about 7 months.. And looking for a new Dr. Well I had an bad experience with one of the dr yesterday Kathleen Abbott. I took one of my kids my one yr old for a skin problem that he is having.. She was so rude and act like she did not care about my son. She bearly even looked at him and was so quick to subcribe an medicine and was like try this and come back next week. I explained to her he has been coming for this problem now for a couple of months and nothing seems to work. And i also said to her that it cost me a lot of money to come here since my dh insurance on covers 80 percent. She act like she didnt care and she said to me if you want to transfer your kids out you will have to sign a paper. I was really shock from her behavior and it really left a nasty tast in my mouth about her. I did speak to the office manager and now they are trying there best to make sure i dont take my kids from there office.

What can I do next?

Sorry for the late response. Manassas Pediatrics is wonderful! I went there as a kid and now I take my children there. ###-###-####

I'm sorry you had that experience! I STRONGLY recommend Haymarket Pediatrics ###-###-####). It's a little further for you to drive but WELL worth it. They have Dr. Eddie Michel, Dr. Elizabeth Bauer, and Dr. Julia Kaminsky. I have seen all of them and love all of them. I've been going there since my first son was born 3 years ago and have recommend many friends to them. Everyone has said they've far exceeded there expectations! Good luck!

I go to pine grove pediatrics, located in Prince William hospital. There are two doctors in the practice and both are wonderful.

When I was pregnant interviewing pediatricians the doctor at Crestwood was more about selling the practice and not listening to my questions. However, Dr Campbell at Pine Grove listened to my question and addressed all my concerns.

My daughter was sick when she was a few weeks, and I had been going to the office and placing calls to the after hours line for about a week. Dr Campbell took time out of her schedule on a Sunday to call and check on us and to make sure everything was fine. I continue to have the same leave of service at all of my visits.

Contact me if you have questions and good luck in your search!!

We go to Pediatricare of Northern Virginia and see Dr. Giancolia (he goes by Dr.G) ###-###-####. We moved here in October and we have had 2 recommendations from different neighbors. I'll be honest, I'm not crazy about the office staff, but I highly recommend Dr.G. He has a great energy. He listens. And I find him very approachable and down to earth. They are located in one of the out buildings of PW Hospital, the one nearest Rolling Hill.

Not sure if you are still looking--I used to go to Crestwood from 2004 to 2006 but the only two dr's that I like left! in 2006 I had it out with Dr.Abbot as well . I switched to Old towne Peds Dr.Williams new office in gainesville and Manassas arcorss from hospital--she is sooo good, I have not seen anyone else in the practice--Dr. Williams is so loving and acts like she has known my daughter since birth. Very caring and take in consideration my thoughts on what is wrong with my child--my daughter has had a bunch of medical issues so I have lots of experience with docs. Good Luck to you, I have heard Haymarket Peds is great as well!

Depending on what area of Manassas you live, I take my son to Union Mill Pediatrics. There are four wonderful doctors, all of whom take their time and I feel always listen carefully and answer all of my questions. They all have kids too, so I feel like that helps them understand where moms are coming from! They are located close to the corner of rt 28 and rt 29. They do have a website too you could check out.... http://www.unionmillpediatrics.com.

My kids go to Pine Grove Peds, in the PW Hospital Building. I've also heard that Prince William Peds in PW Hospital Bldg 2 are good also.

Wow, don't you hate pompous doctors? I go to Prince William Family Medicine. I know they are not a pediatric practice, but they are terrific, especially my dr., Dr. Aronhime. I just love her. My daughter goes to Dr. Desai, and loves him.
