I used the Children's Primary Medical Group after my daughter was born and to be honest, my experience wasn't very good. I had orginially chosen the female pediatrician in the La Jolla office but she was out of town when my daughter was born and I was forced to see 2 different male doctors there. I was very insistant on breastfeeding and both encouraged me to no end to supplement with formula due to my daughter's jaundice. At the time, this broke my heart but they kept telling me it was best for my baby. I just wish that they would have taken my wishes into consideration. After speaking with a lactation consultant a couple days later, she told me I could/should stop with the formula and I needed to stop in order to have my milk come in. She also noted that I should have never done it in the first place. I chose to change offices based on this and the lack of connection I felt with the pediatricians on staff.

I switched to Dr. Lynne Scannell in Santee upon the lactation consultants recommendation and we love her! She has been amazing with us as parents and our daughter. I highly recommend her. I don't want to discourage you from trying the other group, I just wanted to give another perspective. But everyone has a different experience. Trial and error, I swear you just have try things for yourself and find the place that fits your family.

Good luck!

My 2 daughters, ages 9 and 11 years old and have been seeing Dr Remba with Scripps clinic in Mission Valley. I love her. I love the whole practice. Many of my day care parents have gone to her or othe pediatricians in the practice. I have never had a problem getting in to see them. Can not say enough good things about her.

E.,
Dr. Snyder is amazing!!!! I actually took my son to two other pediatrician's before we found Dr. Snyder. He was recommended by my friend's mother who is also a pediatrician. He really takes his time explaining things to me and geting Jimmy comfortable before exams. His office is great at returning calls and talking me through what to do and when he need to come in vs. something we can handle at home. As a first time mom I had a lot of questions and they were great at answering all of them and being patient with me. He is located in Alvarado center, which is not far from you. He won a top doctor's award two years ago in SD Magazine- voted on by his peers. We love him and his approach. Good Luck.
