My daughter will be 3 in November and she and my 4mo son go to Shelby & Friends. We had a really bad experience with my first daycare and have had nothing but good things to say about Shelby and Friends. My daughter Jurnee has developed so much socially and has learned so much, they are even teaching her sign language.

I'm sorry to hear about your little one's experience at the daycare. I can relate. Do you need full time daycare? I highly recommend a couple of "Parent's Day Out" programs but they run either Tue./Thur. from 9-3, or MWF, from 9-2:30. If you are looking for a regular daycare, I have used Kindercare, the one near 50th and Utica. My daughter went there when she was 3 and really loved it. I never had any problems with them. My son also attends Shelby and Friends. I tried a daycare on 69th and Frankford and was unhappy with it because they didn't make sure that the one-year class got an adequate nap (they were across the hall from the cafeteria and I was told they only got about 1 hour before the other kids woke them up). My son was a 3 hour, 2 times a day sleeper. Shelby and Friends allowed him to have 2 daily naps and he liked it better. He is almost 2 now and he is always happy when I drop him off and when I arrive. He has learned so much and gets to experience things I never would have thought of teaching him.

My daughter is 3 1/2 and goes to Tas' Montossori. It is AMAZING!! She has already learned her letters up to L, all the planets, parts of a turtle, parts of a flower, etc. This place is like nothing I have experienced before. They us a certified Montossori teacher that works one-on-one with the children everyday! It just opened up last November and is filling up fast.
