I am looking for a good playground/park in the Anoka County area to bring the kids for a few hours. They are boys ages 3 and 5.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the ideas. We go to Bunker Park often. I have heard a lot of good things about Lions Park, so I will have to try that. The dam has a good park too. Just wanted to make sure there was not one out there that I did not know about. Thanks again!!!!

There's a great park at Hanson and Hwy 10. By the BP gas station - I think it's Lions Park.

We love Lion's park in Coon Rapids, off of Hwy 10 and Hanson Blvd. They have toilets and a nice toddler area and a larger playground for older children. They also have some picnic tables and a shady area on sunny days! :)

I live in Coon Rapids, and our favorites are Bunker Hills playground, Aquatore, Rocket Park, and the playground at the dam (we park and then ride there on bikes/strollers).

Our family really likes Bunker Hills Park - it's a county park, so there's an entrance fee if you drive in on the main road, but you can park for free at the activity center (off bunker lake blvd) and bike or walk to the playground (trail maps are posted). Or, you can buy an annual pass and go as often as you like. My kids are amost 4 and 5-1/2, and have enjoyed this park for the last couple years.
