I had my first child this past July. I went to Dr. Pamela McQuillin in Odessa. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her. It is so worth the trip over there to see her (20-30 minutes depending on where you live in Midland). If you want to know more about her I will give you her info. But she is sooo awesome and so is her nurse. In Midland, I would not let Dr. Madden touch me, although some women really like him. Why, I have no idea. That's the only one I would say no to. My family doctor is Paul Best but I'm not sure if he is accepting new patients or not. Sorry I'm not much help on that one. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with and welcome to Midland.

I am currently 38 weeks preggers. My personal opinion is that the hospitals in Odessa are FAR better than Midland. I had my first child at Odessa Regional Hospital in Odessa, but am going to deliver this one at Medical Center Hospital. I'm more familiar with the physicians in Odessa so naturally I see Odessa physicians, but mainly because the hospitals are much better. My ob/gyn is Raymond Martinez, M.D. He's just wonderful. He's very thorough. I'm older (almost 40) and have had previous gyno problems.

My pediatrician is Dr. Violeta Bello. She is great, thorough and has a very good bedside manner. She has a nurse practioner I don't care for at all. I just make sure I'll be seeing Dr. Bello whenever we go in.

Congrats on your pregnancy. I can't imagine moving to a new town during pregnancy. However, I did move (in town) during this pregnancy and the previous and that was bad enough.

Good luck!

Congratulations on becoming a Mommy and welcome to Midland. My OB/GYN is Dr. John Young. He is my mother's GYN also. I have been going to him for close to 15 years. He delivered both of my children. His office hours are kind of odd, but he's the only one I have been to. Drs. Gross and Madden are good ones, I've heard. I also like Dr. Welsh. I wish you many blessing on your pregnancy and delivery.

I think all the doctors at Midland Women's Clinic are good. There are 4 Ob/Gyns and 2 PAs. If you call them, I think you are assigned to whoever has an opening for new patients at the time. I've seen 2 of the doctors and both PAs and have always been happy.

Hi there, congrats!!

My OB/GYN is Dr. Randall Davis, he is good. But, when I went in to labor he had to leave town and a different doc delivered my son. His name is Dr. Eric Venegas and he was fabulous!! I felt like I had been his patient all along, he was very kind and friendly. I had somewhat of a difficult natural delivery and he was very supportive and patient. If I have another child I will switch doc's. He is a lot younger than all of the other doc's in the area, mid to late 30's, he is married and has 1 child that I know of. God Bless you and your new family!
