I think you should see Dr. Mike Ragan. I haven't used him yet; but I went to school with him and have 5 children who will eventually go to him. He is in Dallas, too! Here is his website with info. http://www.raganortho.com/

Scottish Rite in Dallas. My son goes to Dr. Tony Herring and he's just wonderful and down to earth and my son loves him. Of course now we only go for yearly check ups but he always looks forward to it. That hospital is just amazing. It's like going to a childrens museum, toy store and playground all in one.

It depends on what your specific need is. For congenital types of things, Scottish Rite is THE BEST, hands down. For trauma or infection, any of the docs at Children's are TOP NOTCH. I've worked with each of these guys and I can't say enough wonderful things about each of them. Truly.

Best of luck to you. I hope everything works out okay!

I was going to say exactly what Amy B. said. Scottish Rite is the place to go. It is a pediatric orthopedist children's hostpital. You need your pediatrician's referral. Your pedi's office calls and sets it up for you. Then you wait for a week or two to get the new patient papers in the mail, as well as your appointment date. It will be a long wait - several weeks. However, I called and asked if there were any cancellations and if I could get my son in at an earlier date. First they said no, and then 2 days later, they called back and said they had an opening the following week! Don't worry about insurance - it's free! And such a nice hospital. Definately go this route.

Dr. Freudigman at Baylor is excellent. He is a trauma orthopedist, so he is very familiar with complex issues. If he is not the right doctor for your situation, they will be able to refer you to another doctor.

Someone recommended Scottish Rite and Children's Medical, and those are very good resources, too. Best wishes in finding the best doctor for your situation.

Dr. Quatro off Harwood, in Hurst (it may be Bedford.) We have been to her many times, and it is always a good experience with her. Feel free to ask me any questions.

We (my son and husband) use Dr. Humeniuk in Plano ###-###-####. If you can't get in, have your pediatrician call.

See if your pedi will make a referral to Scottish Rite Hospital. They are a nonprofit, for children's orthopedics, but absolutely amazing. We went there and their doctors are second to none and we had no waits. I would highly recommend them!
