OK I hate the dentist so my recc should go far. Dr Rosenthal in garwood i really do love him, gentle patient and nice. his staff is also wonderful.

as far as ob/gyn. dr. Hoffman in summit. best dr. around has great following,
just hired a midwife (i'm the midwife lol) but really he does have a great following. i was very impressed at how much his patients love the practice. www.mymidwifecares.com ###-###-#### we both deliver out of overlook. hospital has all private postpartum rooms and practice is very laid back and friendly no wait for appointments with me as i just started there i can get you in really quick.

i only know a ped in westfield....westfield pediatrics. my verdictstill out.

Welcome to the neighborhood. I would recommend using Summit Medical Group. My regular physician is in their group and I will be using Dr. Summa as a pediatrician (due in December). Their group is great because they have many locations and once you are registered in one with any of the doctors, you can visit any other doctor and not have to fill out your info again. Plus they have a great urgent care facility should you or your children ever need to use it. They have OB/GYN's as well, but I use Dr. Kuchera in Morristown who is awesome and will be delivering my little one.

I highly recommend Dr. Anthony Quartell in Livingston, NJ, he is an excellent high risk OBGYN as well. Summit Medical group has great pediatricians.

I gave birth at Morristown, which was 90% wonderful (they still kept my baby from me for 2 hours after birth, mostly because ofa computer snafu - they sent him to the nursery but wouldn't let me leave L/D -- dumb!) I'm a pastor and have visited St. Barnabas and Overlook, and they're okay -- haven't seen them since they went to more private rooms. One doula told me to avoid St. Barnabas because they are SO medicalized that they don't let moms move around much. Their C-section rate is way over 40%, almost 50%.

Touchpoint pediatrics has good doctors but terrible billing staff. I can give you the numbers of two excellent doulas in the area, if TLC is important to you in the birthing process.

I had a premature son born @ 26 weeks that received the best care ever. He is 7 years old now and doing wonderful. Our pediatrician would be a distance from your home, but we he has been our doctor since my older sons. You also have Summit Medical Group in your area which has been highly recommended by some friends. Best Wishes!

I absolutely love Dr. Abu Alam in Summit. I only go to him for my annual "gynie" appointment, but he serves as the back-up doctor for the midwives who assisted us with our two homebirths. I love the fact that he is willing to do that!

I actually enjoy going to get my annual pap smear because I love hearing about his latest humanitarian acts. He used to go to Haiti every year to do free surgeries for the women there. (He would even show me photos of the huge tumors he would remove from them. I know - sounds gross, but I love that kind of stuff and I asked to see them!) He now is focusing on helping the people in the land of his birth, Bangladesh. He has built a hospital there and gets donations of unwanted US hospital equipment to use in the hospital.

Hi. I highly recommend the Rubino Obgyn grp. http://rubinoobgyn.com/ There are 4 docs that deliver(male and 3 females). I highly recommend Dr. Romero(female). She changed her off schedule, on Oct 15th/16th 2007, as she had 2 primary pts(I was one of them) in active labor. She did 2 back to back c-sections, includiing mine at 12:42 AM. As for peds, I highly recommend the Summit Pediatric Assoc. http://www.summitpedsnj.com/ I take my 2 year old dtr to Dr. Manochhio(female). All the docs are so kind and gentle. They also have a nurse practitioner who is amazing.

Both of these docs are ont he first fllorof the Medical Arts (MAC)Building next to Overlook Hospital. I had a wonderful birth experience at Overlook.
