Seeking Review of Lake Casitas Campground

Funny, but my girlfriend and I were just talking about Lake Casistas a couple of days ago. I have not personally been there, but it's my girlfriend's favorite place to camp. She loves all the activities there are for the kids and says it's so much fun. Her kids are 3 and 4. My kids are 3 and 6. Sorry I could not provide a more personal recommendation, but based on my girlfriend, I don't think you can go wrong. Hope you have lots of fun!!!

Hi Natalie. well i really cant provide much info about that place , but i have been there. The fmaily decided to go on a drive once and it ended up at Lake Casitas. we checked it out andit is a beautiful place to be with kids. they have campers that u can rentout on the camp grounds. and they have place where u can set up camp too. Now wehn we go camping we liek to have a plae where we can sleep in . not in tents. and if u dotn like the campgrounds then a motel is not too far off from there.......if u go , u will enjoy it . call them up and see what you woudl like to do there..

well I haven't been in years but do remember it as a pleasant place. We go to Malibu Creek several times a year. Both for day trips ( hiking, beach) and overnights. It's a great, local place to test the kids overnightability. We usually start there when the kids are 1 or 2. Then move on to 2 or more nights further away. Lake Cachuma has a lot of wildlife and a great guided boat tour. Also, I recommend San Mateo ( with excursion to San Onofre). Have fun!

Lake Casitas is a great place for camping. My family have been going there for over 25 years. My mom and dad took us there when we were children, now my whole almost entire family goes from my grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of the family. We reserve the group camp site by the lake which accomodates everyone. We all look forward to this time every year(especially the kids) to commune with nature and each other. They have a water park and you can fish on the lake if you have a boat. I think they have boat rentals as well. I hope you all enjoy Lake Casitas as much as we do. Have a wonderful time.

Myself and my husband's family went there about 6 years ago. It's perfect for families. There are showers and bathrooms near camp sites. There's also a swimming pool and a lake. We had a good time.
