Hi T.,

Have you tried the Beauty Academy over in Rodney Village near the gas station on Governors Ave? (South of Wendy's, north of the bank on the northbound side) I think it's the Pressley Beauty Academy. I've heard they're good with kids. It's a beauty school so the prices are a bit more reasonable and since students are doint the hair, they try harder to do a good job for you and do what you want. You might give them a call and see if they fit your needs.

There used to be a place right before you get to Rodney Village Shopping center that was really good and inexpensive. Also, Trade Secret in the mall does it, but I think they are a little on the high end.

Hi T.!

I live in Milford & I take my 7 year old daughter to the salon in Wal-Mart in Milford. There are 2 women there who can do it & they're both really good. For $35 she gets washed, conditioned, blown out & braided & it takes about 2 hours start to finish. We've been going every other Saturday morning all summer to make it easier for her to swim & keep cool while it's so hot, we just make sure to get there really early so we don't have to wait because they do not make appointments. I know the girls there work other days of the week also, but Saturday works best for me as I work full-time. We've been to both of them, but I do prefer Shana as she's a little quicker & the braids seem to stay in a little bit better. Hope this helps!
