For the mamas that have had breast implants, which did you get. Silicone or salene. my doctor is pushing salene but the thought of it leaking scares me cause then i have to have a whole new one put in. silicone, he says, is more expensive. He said that during the 8 years that he has been using the salene product, he has only had one leak. i dont know which one to pick!

What can I do next?

Hey! I too got saline implants about 4 years ago, and that when silicone was removed from being an option because of all the issues. I must tell you that I have never had a single problem, I also have mine insured. It wasn't a choice for me, the insurance was included in the cost. I don't worry about them leaking, because he said it wouldn't be harmful because the saline is fluid that is normally in our body and would be reabsorbed. The silicone would not do that. Also, I've had a child since then and I want them redone anyway, so a leak would also be a small blessing. Anyway, I love them, and good luck to you.

Silicone, but be aware that ANY over the muscle implants haev the posibility of becoming har dand incased, the under muscle ones do not, HOWEVER, the over muscle look tear drop shaped, under are round. Saline will "wrinkle" when you bend over(watch a prono, you'll see) silicone will not, Silicone are lighter, feel more natural. Maybve the gummy ones?? I got silicone

Hello, I have salene implants! I've had them almost 5 years and I haven't had any problems at all; but just a word of advice if you do have the surgery then get the insurance that is offered, it is only $100.00 and its good for 10 years. It will cover any costs if you do have a leak =)

Good luck to you and I wish you the best.

I have saline implants that are 11 years old. I have never had any issues with my implants. Mine are under the muscle and they are FAB! No one would ever suspect that I have implants. Even after breastfeeding, my boobs have rebounded and look great!

GL in your decision!
