Hi, has anyone used the 3 day solution DVDs? Is it effective, i'm desperate & would like some advice on how to help my 5 month old to sleep through the night. I also have a 27 month old toddler who is also sleep deprived because my baby's crying wakes her up at 5 am every morning... help? Any suggestion is GREATLY appreciated!

I don't know about the DVD's, but I don't think 5 mos. old is too young to sleep through the night. My oldest started sleeping through the night at 6 wks. and the second one was 12 wks. I kept her in our room till she slept through the night so she wouldn't wake the other one. Now my last one is a totally different story. He just turned one and just recently learned how to sooth himself back to sleep. I am sooo thankful I get my sleep back. My kids are 8,4, and 1

Actually sleeping until 5 is pretty good for a 5 month old. My sons slept until 4ish and I considered that sleeping through the night. As for your other child either a. move your 5 month old closer to you or b. move the older one farther away. My DD was all the way across the house when my sons were born and she was only a year old. I put the twins in my room and a baby monitor in hers, and she never woke up from them crying in the middle of the night.

5 months old is pretty young to force a baby to sleep through the night. at that age they are still requiring the calories some times in the night. just give it some time, make sure your older child gets a good long nap to make up for what she may miss at night.

Five AM is a fairly normal time for a baby to wake up, and five months old is not very old. Many babies don't sleep through the night until later. If the baby is waking up at 2 or 3, you might start giving her cereal before bed to keep her from being so hungry, but if by the middle of the night you mean 5, well, your baby is probably a morning person. I have two night kids and one morning kid, and you can't even bribe the morning person to go back to sleep, their bodies say it's time to get up. Either move the baby to your room, or let the toddler sleep in your room or the living room until the baby sleeps longer--it won't be that long.
