Hi A.,
Don't know anything about it either but I agree with MJ. There are also supplements that will prevent them as well. If you get to that point, let me know, I'd be glad to help.

M.
I have quite a bit of spider veins on my leg.
A couple of weeks ago I had Saline Injections in a couple of them, but it really hurt. I have more that need to be treated, so I'll probably be back a couple of more times.
I was thinking about a Laser treatment instead, but wasn't sure if it would be any better w/pain. Has anyone else had this problem & had either laser or saline treatments?
If U had Laser, how was it?
Thanks, A.
First let me say, Thanks to all of you who responded to this! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. I think I'm going to really look into the laser treatment, before I make a decision. My military insurance will cover this (if I go that route),so the $$ won't be an issue. I have a month to decide before I go back to the other doc. that did the saline.
Thanks again! Happy ThanksGiving!

I'm curious about this too, so I'm responding so that I can read your responses.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the saline hurt like hell. They really will go away as time goes by. Since I had my babies a couple of years the treatment, I will likely have to do it again, but the thought of it is enough to make me second guess that decision. :-) I'll probably look at the laser treatment myself. It sounds to me like that doesn't hurt as much. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
I had the saline injections and immediately noticed results. Last year I had the laser treatment - it was $500 for an hour. I had lots of little veins they said could not be treated by the saline injections. Unfortunately, I don't notice any difference and feel like it was a waste of money. Plus the laser hurt as well - even though they rub a numbing cream on your legs. In my opinion the saline is far superier and worth a little pain.
Hi there! I had the injections. Be patient.... and give it time this will go away. It is completely normal. Make sure you are moving lots and getting at least 30mins of walking in a day. Keeping your blood circulating in the legs is VERY important. I had the pain in my legs too, but like I said it will go away.
Good luck!!

Hi A.,
I havent had the treatment but I just wanted to suggest that Chiropractic can be quite beneficial for you. It helps with the circulation in your body and often times will eliminate this problem! Make sure you are drinking lots of plain water and give it a try:) Good luck!
I had the saline injections years back and it helped prevent vaicose veins (according to the dr who did them) I trusted him very much since he treated my mothers skin cancer and was highly recommended at OSU hopsital. He did tell me since I worked on my feet all day and did for years they would come back some of them have. Yes, it was uncomfortable but now that I can compare it to child birth I'd do the veins any day and it also stops the pain after it's over. I will again get them done and I plan on the same treatment as before. He also recommended to me to wear support hose and they helped. I don't know if I'm sold on the laser treatment I'd have to do more research on it before I had someone do it at least for me I am a stick with what works and I know it does . Oh, by the way the dr also told me spider veins may times run in a person's family so we can't always out run not getting them. I heard you still have some pain with laser I'm just worried myself about someone burning me with that type of treatment. This may not of been any help to you but I just wanted you to know some else had that treatment and my experience. Best wishes
Hi A.
I have done laser hair removal in the past and really it did not hurt at all. The technician kept saying "ok, this may sting a little" but nothing. I am not sure how much stronger the laser is for spider veins, but my experience was very positive.
