My son's ADHD, so any of the real espresso drinks are just fine for him. That said... he loves and adores the strawberries and creme frap (and has been buying them with his own money since he was a toddler.
Strawberries & Creme is
- Milk
- Ice
- Strawberries
Practically can't GET healthier than that.
Also, I don't know about your area since it's strawberry land not far south of you... but in our area it's about 2x more expensive to make them at home than it is to buy them. (Sigh. I MISS not paying $10 per lb of strawberries. But that's WA for you; limes are pingpong ball sized and cost a buck, lemons are the size of what limes SHOULD be... produce is just really, really expensive up here).
The don't have the banana one up on the site yet, and my bro's sleeping or I'd call and ask (works for Starbucks)... but one can reasonably expect the recipe to be
bananas
milk
ice
or
bananas
milk
vanilla
ice
Either way; if you let your child have those ingredients individually, why not swirled in a blender? ((HINT: for parents upset with the calories and sugar/fat. Look on the back of your milk box and on fresh fruit. Both have a LOT of sugar in them; lactose and galactose in milk, fructose in fruit. That's where the sugar grams are coming from. From healthy fruit and healthy milk. It's not added sugar. It's part and parcel with milk and fruit.))
