Goo Gone, a scrubber and elbow grease.
I am trying to get a sticky residue off off a tile floor in a rental home of ours. I have no clue what is on the floor, but when I tried a regular mop with bleach and water it didn't do a thing to clean the floor!!!! It is almost like someone tried to wax or varnish the tile. Any suggestions? I would really like to get this house back on the market!
Also wanted to note that this is on the entire floor!!!! Thick!
Goo Gone, a scrubber and elbow grease.
Dawn dish detergent in warm water and baking soda as an abraisive.
Goo Gone works great for sticky residue but when all else has failed honestly vinegar works on a lot. You may have to go to a place like Lowes or a store like that and ask if they have any industrial strength cleaners. You may have to strip the floor tile and reseal it.
Maybe a buffing machine and some wax stripper? Tenants can be really hard on a property.... I found a dead snake in the fridge with my last eviction.... crazy stuff, and they busted the toilet up with a large hammer I guess. People are just weird sometimes.
If you can leave the windows open while you clean, you can use ammonia. It will clean the dirtiest floors and used to be used to strip old wax off floors before applying new wax. Works great if you can tolerate the smell!
Goo Be Gone or Goof Off. They are really strong smelling but they will take it off.
My mom swears by using Cascade dishwasher soap on a seriously grimy floor. She has used this for decades. She and my dad like to reinvate older homes.
