We are looking to buy a small size suv that doesnt use to much gas and that is affordable. We are interested in the Subaru Forrester because it has good ratings. Does any of your have one? Could you please tell us if you like and why?

We have a 2002 Subaru Forester and love it! The newer models have more room in the back seat than ours. We have a 1 year old and have no problem fitting all of her "stuff" in the cargo area when we travel. Our car has been very reliable and we've never had a problem with it. We just hit 180,000 miles and it's still going strong. The all wheel drive is great in the winter. It's been very well rated by consumer reports.
We LOVED our Subaru Outback and know several families with Forresters. Subaru is an awesome car! You get amazing quality. We bought ours at the Evanston Subaru dealer and they were fantastic. We got a great deal and the service department was about a million times better than any other we've dealt with since.
We had a Forester years ago when they first came out. We loved it but traded it in for an Outback because we needed more room. We have been very happy with both cars.

We have a 2001 Suburu Forrester with 120,000 miles on it and it still runs fabulous. I love that car. We had to get a van when we had three kids b/c three car seats are a ngihtmare in the suburu. But i love it - we are going to maintain her and for the girls to drive someday. It's really hard to drive without thall wheel drive now. My only complain is the cupholder in the 01 - but they have changed that. I love it!
I am on my second Forester and love it. When I was considering buying one, I stopped current owners in the parking lot and all of them had only good things to say. I love the tight turning radius, the responsiveness, the ability to haul most anything, ....... Love It!
