Where would you suggest buying them from and ball park on price? I would like brass about 3 feet high. Typed back story but it got lost.

What can I do next?

Honestly in my world table lamps are like wall hangings, I just can't go out and buy one. It has to move me to buy it. Yeah, maybe not a good system since I have only owned two table lamps in my life.

I guess I am just saying I could never set limits and then try to find it, I would lose my mind. I would rather go out over a period of time knowing I need one and when I see it I will know it and buy it.

what a weird title and question.
you can buy them at thrift stores and department stores and antique stores and target and amazon and overstock.com and yard sales and flea markets and auctions.
you can pay anything from nothing to thousands.

So many places carry table lamps you should check out different websites or do a google search for what you like.

I haven't seen brass lamps in a long time so maybe check out a consignment shop first.

I didn't know they still made them...we have all brushed nickel. Even the ceiling fans and hinges match. I thought brass went out of style in the 80s. Maybe you can search goldtone lamps?

Styles vary from traditional to contemporary.
It would be really easy to find something expensive but I don't like to spend a lot on lamps.
I have a metal pair of lamps in the living room my Mom gave me and I just replace the shades on them every so often.

We've found nice ones at Home Depot, Lowes and Ikea before. Bed Bath and Beyond sells some nice ones as well.
It's a lot easier to just go looking and see what you like then the other way around. If I had gone in with something so exact I wouldn't have found the awesome ones I have now in our bedroom! Same with the floor lamp in the living room. We had a list of a few things we didn't want (no halogen bulbs, could take LED bulbs, something with a sturdy base that wouldn't tip easily..that kind of thing) but from there we were open to see what we could find.
