The Keeper And/or the Moon Cup ?

I don't know any one that has tried the Keeper, however, I do know several that use the Diva cup and love it.

I use Instead (Softcup menstrual cups), they are disposable cups sold at Wal-Mart (other places may carry them). I don't think they hold as much as the Diva or Keeper. On my heavy days, I can make it 3 hours without having to change one, where as with tampons, even super plus, I'd be lucky to make it an hour without leaks. The Instead cups are also cheaper than tampons and pads.

The biggest reason I haven't switched is my bathroom isn't set up where I could wash it out and reinsert it, without having to get up and walk to the sink.

My friend swears by the Mooncup: www.mooncup.co.uk/. She said that it only leaked once, but once she reread the instructions and fitted it better, she has not had a problem, even at night. I was definitely going to try it once I run down my stock of tampons. Good luck.

I use one and like it. Inserting it takes a little practice and some getting used to. But once you get that figured out, it's easy to use and comfortable. Mine has never leaked, but I do usually wear a light pad during heavy days. I find it is LESS gross than a tampon or a pad because there's no smell.

I personally rather use a tampon. It is cleaner and not as messy as using a pad. Just make sure you change your tampon in a timely manner. I use pearl tampons. You have to figure out your flow because there are different sizes. For example your flow maybe heavier in the begining, therefore you would use plus or super plus. In the middle you would use regular and at the end you would use light. I hope I got the sizes correct. Anyway when you go to the store you can see the different sizes for yourself. Hope this helps.

I am a devoted menstrual cup user. You don't have to put your fingers *into* your vagina to insert & remove it. I have also used a diaphragm, and the insertion/removal of the menstrual cup is much less work. It takes a little practice to get the hang of it, but it's worth it in my opinion - less waste, less cost over the long term, and no worries about toxic chemicals like chlorine all up in your lady bits :) I find that mine generally doesn't leak - I have to empty it out a little more frequently on my one or 2 super heavy days, but again, that's something you learn with practice.

I will say that I tried the keeper and didn't like it as much as the diva cup for 2 reasons. First, I apparently have a bit of a latex sensitivity - condoms are fine, but not a latex menstrual cup. The diva cup (and I think the moon cup) is silicone. The second thing is that the removal stem on the keeper is a bit longer, which I found uncomfortable - you can trim it, but I was worried I'd trim too much. The diva cup stem length is just right.
