Toddlers and Vitamins

My daughter will be two years old next week and I think it's time to give her an edible vitamin. Up until now I have been giving her Polyvi-sol and most of the time she doesn't finish her juice to get the full benefits of the liquid vitamin. I tried giving her gummy vitamins but she refuses to try it. Other than putting a gummy vitamin in yogurt or applesauce, what else can I do? She is too young for Flintstone vitamins. How do I get my daughter to take her vitamins? Thank you!

What can I do next?

I love the Nordic Naturals, Nordic Berries, and when I say "I" I mean it.
They are good, natural and very yommy.
Only problem, I have to be firm on only gave my kid the right amount and NO more, and I have to stop eating them my self because they are not that cheap.

You can find them in Vitamin shoppe but I send you that link so you can read the reviews.

My kids are on a line of vitamins that you drink also. It's just 2 ounces so there's not a lot for them but I call it strong juice and make muscles. I had to really play it up in the beginning and it took a little while but now they ask for strong juice. Actually one is on an antioxidant. It's the only thing that got rid of his warts so we call that one wart juice. :)
Make up silly names and dance around.

I give my daughter the nature's plus animal parade chewable vitamins. I get them from vitamin shoppe. She LOVES them and is always begging me for her vitamins. They are great because they have veggies and stuff in them too. You could try telling her they are candy. Or use it as a reward. Tell her you have something special for her if she finishes all her food or puts her toys away. If she doesn't want to take 'vitamins' come up with a different word for them. If my daughter thinks something is special she will try it. Or i will tell her its mommy's she can't have any and then she really wants it...and i'll say, "nope its mommy's..oh, ok, you can have some" and then shes realizes she likes it and then its a fight to limit the amount. :)

Flintstones makes toddler vitamins aimed at the 2-4 age group. My daughter likes to take hers. I sometimes have to tell her she cannot have another. She will even remind me or my husband, though she calls them her "mecin".

I'm glad your daughter doesn't like those gummy vitamins. STAY AWAY from those little buggers. They can get caught in the teeth and cause cavities. I should know... just spent $400 on my 3 years olds mouth.

Usually you don't even need suppliments if her diet is well balanced.

If you feel she needs a suppliment, can you mix the liquid vitamin in other foods? Give it to her throughout the day and not all at once?

We give our son Animal Parade liquid vitamins and he likes them! We give it in the same syring that you give tylenol or motrin and he gets to pick if he wants the red one (animal parade) or the white (calcium and fish oil) first. Animal Parade is natural and tastes much better than the vi-sols.

AVOID GUMMY VITAMINS!!! (or really, gummy anything) My niece had 6 cavities at the age of 6 that the dentist blamed on gummy vitamins. She had to have oral surgery and have teeth pulled because the cavities were between the teeth.

I bought my 2 yr old children's multi-vitamin at target. I cut them in half (the dose for his age is half of one. They are fruit flavored and he doesn't complain, in fact, he reminds me that he needs his medicine (as he calls it).
