We have not lived in San Antonio very long and I was wondering when trick or treating is. Start time, end time, what night. Thank you in advance, my kids will appreciate it!!!

Trick or Treating is on tuesday night(Oct 31st) usually when it starts getting dark out...Going to these places are great, but takes a lot of time. If you live in a NICE neighborhood or even know your neighbors get together with a few and trick or treat the neighborhood with them it doesn't hurt (i've lived in San Antonio forever)as long as you are with them (supervised) it will be GREAT! I have 4 children and live in Leon Valley area and it's FUN!(and at that I can limit the time because of school the next day) As I have been told: "you yourself make it safe and fun for your kids"

Not the zoo it's really not that good. There are lots of people and you have to wait in line and get one candy at each sponsor area. I start at 5:30 or six (dusk) and go for about one hour on halloween night (tuesday).

I am disappointed in the responses you got. :( I have been watching hopeing someone would come up with something we could do too. Where are you taking your kids? Did you find anywhere on your own? Thanks.
The best thing when your new to the city is to go to the zoo boo it is tonight and tomorrow night starting at 6pm they have trick or treating costume contest and other stuff you can look it up under san antonio zoo and it will tell you all they will have.
