1) www.khanacademy.org
For all ages even adults.
I have a 5 and 9 year old. They use this site and like it.
It is for math and math related topics.
It is free.

2) For "Dolsch Sight Words:"
http://www.mrsperkins.com/dolch.htm
Sight words, are what schools teach, in addition to Phonics.

3) For learning how to Type:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/
All Recommended by my kids' Teachers.
Learning how to type is important. It is not taught in schools anymore. But they need to learn how to type.

All these sites are free.

I have more will put it here later.
Here it is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/laac/numbers/chi.shtml
http://www.abc.net.au/countusin/games/game7.htm
http://www.literacycenter.net/lessonview_en.php
http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactive...
http://www.roythezebra.com/reading-games/capital-letter-1...

Again these are all recommended by my kids' Teachers.
Per Kindergarten and 1st grade.
All free.
Fun.
Educational.

We downloaded 'tux math' (you can google it...it's a pretty small file)...my kids (6 and 8) love it. We also do pbskids.org and fun4thebrain.com. My kids aren't on the computer a whole lot...if I think of anything else, I'll add it on!

My son's favorite web site is IKnowThat.com. It has enough free activities to keep him occupied, but there are paid parts of the site as well. He likes building contraptions with the "widget" activity. It also has a beehive area that is like a social network site, but safer. They can play games like tic-tac-toe with other kids, and interact by picking from a pre-approved list of comments.
