Well, the description says it is mahogany with a chestnut color finish but it looks more like it could be more of an oak finish.
Hi ladies,
I need to have a king size bed in the exact same color as this one: http://forsale.oodle.com/view/beautiful-armoire/276119090...
What color is this? Where can I find beds which are in such unusual colors? All I see these days are either espresso or black!
TIA!
ETA: I have a chest same as this color as this from a furniture brand called Mirena. I checked out from the site its the same furniture company that made this armoire in the pic. Its made of mahogony wood. It looks a little darker than this picture in my dark walled bedroom. Its a little yellowish light brown, don't remember its color. I don't remember it being called oak finish, however i am not sure! I am not sure the description on this ad is correct, its mahogany wood alright however it doesn't look like the chestnut finish that comes up in google search! :)

That looks like Oak to me. I would think you could find that in a more traditional type of furniture store.
It looks like a honey/oak, but the picture looks bad also. Have you looked into unfinshed furniture? It is easier to match a wood stain to your existing wood color.
Its antique and I believe its called Tiger Oak. I have all solid oak furniture in my entire home and I have a secretary desk that has the same detail. I hope this helps, oak is hard to match other pieces because it darkens as it ages. good luck!!!
The wood looks Oak. The color is probably referred to as blonde.
Oak or chestnut, depending on the amount of layers of stain/glaze and the underlying wood color. This one says it's mahogany (which is a reddish) with a chestnut finish. Many stores can special order wood finishes.
the color is chestnut.
they are available all over the place. It's a NATURAL color, not painted. You can buy unfinished wood furniture and stain it chestnut.
It says it is made from mahogany in a chestnut finish...so I would say chestnut...but it looks almost oak-like.
I would call that honey. We have honey colored furniture and that is what it looks like.
I would call that stain "honey" in terms of color.
I would say it's a honey walnut stain, but I appear to be in the minority :)
