What Do You Pay Teenage Sitters???

Are you sure that a teenager would know what to do at 7 weeks. I would Never let a teenager watch my infant but I just needed to put my 2 cents in cause you never know if an emergency came up, etc..

I used to watch 3-5 yrs old when I was 14 and would get paid $4 an hr.
It just depends on their responibilties and how many children also the rates have gone up through out the years they charge anywhere from $8-10 an hour but I think it's too risky to let a young teenager to watch a newborn.

I think it depends on the age of the sitter and the number of children. I have a 14 year old sitter that I pay about $6 an hour and a 21 year old sitter with lots of experience, who drives, etc.. and I pay her $8 to $10 an hour.

I'm 22 years old with several years of experience and am now making $10 an hour for two children. Although I am experienced, I also feel it is important to meet the needs of parents aned what works best for them. Let me know if I can do anything to help you out.

I think the going rate is somewhere between $5 and $10 an hour. We pay the girl across the street around $7. I would pay closer to $10 and get a more experienced babysitter for my newborn, though!
