What Made Your Day Today?

The kindergarten class did the program today in school. They sang a song and my little grandson really sang his heart out like a hick. You could hear him over everyone. I stood there and giggled. It was so cute. He was drawling the words out and making them sound so totally country.

My 10 yo daughter was the closing act in her school talent show tonight. Although the show was 2 1/2 hours long and the kids and adults were getting antsy, when she started singing there wasn't a sound in the school gym. The person behind me said her voice made her cry, someone else told me they had chills and some of the kids thought she was just lip syncing. 😊 What a proud moment for me!

my final shakespeare class with my teenagers at the community college, where they put on a revised version of hamlet. they were wonderful, and the parents loved it. all of the evaluations sent back to the school were glowing, except one which was meh.
and of course being me, that's the one i keep obsessing over<G>.
but it was a great and exhausting day, and now i get a summer break!

My husband and I went shopping for supplies to re-do our bathroom. It has had no ceiling since November, when our upstairs bathroom leaked and destroyed the ceiling. We're remodeling the whole darn thing!

I've had the wallpaper stripped from it for 4 years, but then we never got around to actually working on it. Work starts next week!!!

It wasn't today, but the warm fuzzy feeling still lingers.

I've won some cooking contests. But none of those wins made me feel as honored as what my wife said to me.

My wife and I just got back from spending two weeks (celebrating our 40th anniversary) on the Island Princess sailing through the Panama Canal from LA to Fort Lauderdale. We had all this wonderful food prepared by classically trained chefs for the entire cruise.

We got back and I made dinner for my wife and everything turned out right. I was clearing the table and my wife came up to me and said, "Now, That was fine dining." Its been a week or so and I still feel great because of it.

My little one's pitter patter of little feet getting out of bed & coming into
our room! Always a sweet sound! :)

Mine is pretty simple. I got the kids out the door and got some much needed errands run finally. I even got a shower today! I even got some of the house work under control.

My sister is a better sister than I am. She and her family sent me a card with a very very nice note inside. I really needed that.

I was away on business for the last 3 nights. Coming home to the little one was so great- huuuge hugs, snuggles, she was so giddy to have me back again it was crazy. And then picking the big one up from school...the long, sweet hugs from this incredible girl were made even more special since she's not always such a love monkey like her sister.

Who's Who at my child's high school was held Thursday night.

He was one out of 12 guys nominated for class favorite out of about 450 kids.

He's always been awesome but it's nice to know others recognize the shy, sweet, funny guy I have always known!
