D.P.
I got a few "boa-me-squeezor" hugs from my son.
I had the $200 to pay at the grocery store.
Spent some time outside playing--so did dad--beautiful day here.
Right now--Earl Grey and a dutch cocoa cookie. :)
Okay, so this might fall under the JFF umbrella, but who cares?
There was just a post on things we hate (which has been funny), and to bring it into balance, I'm wondering-- what's going right for you today? Any nice event, moment? Anything you're looking forward to that's keeping you going?
I'll start it off: I've a big mess to clean in the kitchen, but the local station is playing a Benny Goodman concert from 1959 with a bunch of jazz greats joining in and the toes are tapping and I'm in the BEST mood to clean up! (yes, my taste in music is antiquated, but NO ONE holds a candle to Ella Fitzgerald!)
So....what's yours? What's good for you?

I went out to a movie tonight with a girlfriend and then we had BIG OL HONKIN DESSERTS at Starbucks.
My daughter and I scrubbed the house today and finished laundry.....always love the results.
The sweet daughter is bring home a fresh strawberry pie from her work tonight for us...they are the best!!
Had sex.
Hubby has been nice today... I mean, helpful.
He actually went grocery shopping for me and took the kids with him. This was before the sex.
I don't know what got into him!
Maybe he is not PMS'ing.
I still have a sink full of mess in my kitchen. Oh well.
No biggie.
It is a nice cool day here with nice breezy breezes.
And my son, has been ALL day telling me for no reason "I love you Mommy... your'e the best."
Ok...I vented on the other...I will glow on this one!!!
Today was my day off ....I got some much needed cleaning done here at home....but still had time for a lovely nap this afternoon!!
This evening my hubby took me out to dinner..had yummy Chicken Parmagiana (sp?) at Johnny Carrinos'...and their wonderful salad.
And I took a big batch of home made brownies to our local fire station...to tell our firefighters thank you for everything they do for us.
Now I am cuddled up on the sofa...watching March Madness!!!
Thank you for the positive end to my day!!
You know what...you just made my day. I smiled at this.
my fiance made lunch for the kids today.
i got lots of cuddles from all of the kids throughout the day.
the kids let me sleep on the couch while they played and watched tv this morning since i was sick all night last night.
and i'm sitting here with a heating pad on my back, wrapped up in a snuggie and reading mamapedia after all the kids are asleep. its been a decent day
My boyfriend and I got to see our son roll over for the first time... TOGETHER! He lives an hour away due to work, so he only gets to see me and our son on the weekends. Last week he couldn't come at all due to illness. He's always upset that I get to see him do things first.
Today, we were playing with our soon to be 5 month son on the floor and he rolled over for the first time. My boyfriend was like 'I didn't know he couldn't do that...' and I replied 'I didn't either'! Lol
It was great :)
My daughter and I both had eye exams and I had planned on both of us needing new glasses - but neither of us did! YAY!!!! that's a huge savings!
Well, is not today but it has to do with.
Last night was the FIRST night that I slept the WHOLE night in months (btw, thanks to all that help me with advice), so that was a great star for me.
Then I wrote a post about my no mom SIL and her crab, I resive so many replies and they made my day, I am seriously thinking in print it and put it on my fridge.
Then we went to Walmart, in a Saturday and it wasn't pack!!
TOTALLY blowing off all my chores to watch softball practice for my daughter then come home to hang out outside literally ALL day. I NEVER do that! Saturday at some point I always do my chores, as our weeks are booked up. And tomorrow we have all day plans, but oh, well! House is a disaster with piles of laundry to fold and dishes to wash, but, it will still be there Monday night, which is free, so I can catch up then! :) I will of course clean the kitchen tonight, but everything else can surely wait!
Whats been good for me today....
My SO is finially feeling better, and so far I think my daughter and I avoided getting sick..including pink eye.
Whats been good for me today....
My SO remembered I needed a certain type of screw driver to mount shelves I got...and brought it home from work.
Whats been good for me today....
Even though I have been doing chores and cleaning, me and my daughter always seem to have fun.
Whats been good for me today...
My daughter and I ate a nice lunch together AND amazingly nothing landed on the floor! Yay.
=)
I went to work:) I work at a local cloth diaper shop on Saturdays.
I love the ladies I work with, and we get to meet a lot of great families. And of course help them figure out what diapers will be the best fit for their family. We also talk babywearing, breastfeeding, and just parenting in general. It's too much fun to be considered work!
Then I came home to my kids and hubby playing outside in the beautiful weather. After the kids went to bed DH and I enjoyed a super yummy steak dinner. Now I'm about to take a hot bath and read before bed.
So overall today has just simply been a GOOD day!
Have my grandson over for a 2-nighter, and this evening before bed we 'performed' some favorite songs I played from my iPod. He was the drummer/singer, I was the guitarist/backup vocals, Poppie was the keyboard man. We rocked! Songs were 'Southern Cross' by Crosby, Stills & Nash, and 'You'll Be Bright" by Cloud Cult. Fine music!
Gotta go get some sleep now. He wakes early.
Spending time cuddling with my daughter today
i had a great day - went shopping, and while i found NOTHING for me, i found GREAT deals on bed pillows, socks, underwear, and shoes for my son and husband. super responsible, much needed stuff (not junk that i didn't really need!) and saved a lot of money. great feeling! tomorrow we are going to church with the whole family (we all go to the same church- four generations! and i love it!) then taking my dog and my son out to my mom's in the country to run off some steam- supposed to be a BEAUTIFUL day to be outside! - after being cooped up for quite awhile. YAAAAAAAAY! that is where i go to recharge my batteries. can't wait!
My husband and I slept in, then we drove to a little town to have some of the best BBQ in Texas.. Met some neat people there from out of state and a bus full of older people.. Had some good laughs.. then drove back, husband stopped so I could take a photo of a farmer on the side of the road with a sign saying "Babies" Chickens" "For Sale" They were actually selling chicks.. But it totally made my day. Then listened to great music on the radio in every genre, by changing the station between each song.
Now about to pop into the car and search out the best place to see the "Super moon" tonight. The Supermoon will be about 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal, according to NASA.
Awesome day..
My husband kept our daughter all day while I went off and met my best friend for lunch. We ate, then went shopping. It was very relaxing. Then I came home to a napping child, my hubby made dinner then he loaded the dishwasher! All the while he was doing laundry! I don't normally get this lucky in one day, so I am taking it while I can get it.
Good question!
Some nice sunny early spring weather up here in the frozen tundra that is Michigan - got me and 3 yo DD outside because she wanted to play. She kept saying, "All the snow is gone...it's spring now!" We played catch, blew bubbles, and drew with chalk on the driveway. She made a "map" with the chalk and described it to me as she was drawing it: "This is Disney World. and here are all the rides...and here is our house...and here is the airplane station..." She kept making all these lines and circles and squiggles as she's naming off what they are, and she reminded me of a school teacher at the chalkboard. Later she practiced riding her bike and went swinging on her swing set. She burned off enough energy that when she was back inside, while playing with her play-doh at the kitchen table, she fell asleep right there. Too cute! :)
YES! I love Benny Goodman and Ella Fitzgerald.
Great Post. I got myself to early morning Yoga today and that felt great!
Everything was great today, lunch at chilis followed by the movie rango in which i actually liked it, and my 2 year old barely squirmed!... Then My 8 year old and I both put on our roller blades and took turns pushing the racing stroller(that contained my two year old) to our park, she is so excited that she is getting the hang of the blades that we went to another park. At this other park My two year old decided she was no longer scared of the slide. The weather was really nice after 5 too! so to recap.
Good food
Great movie

Pretty day
My sister and brother-in-law came to visit yesterday - about a 2 hour ride away, so we see them only every month or two. They stayed with our kids (5 and 2.9) while we went out to some stores and made some decisions for long-needed home face lifts. It gave us a huge sense of accomplishment. And the kids LOVE their uncle, who is a clowning good time!! We had a nice dinner together and then a leisurely Sunday morning until they headed off home.
The baby started waving bye-bye today, she was so amused at her new ability, she was giggling non-stop. My older daughters & I got a huge kick out of it.
I saw the adjustment bureau last night which was awesome and then today I was just in a good mood. The weather was a teeny chilly but nice and we were in the backyard (my daughter and me) for 3 1/2 hours just swinging and playing. I was in a cleaning mood so I cleaned a lot of stuff too. Spring break is almost over :( But I seriously needed that break so today just made me thing of the week as a whole and how relaxing it was. Me, my dad, and my daughter went for a walk tonight and it was nice, we just talked. Today was a good relaxing day. And I was being lazy so I stayed in my pjs all day haha.
My grandson, age 9 months now crawls at top speed around the house going "gada gada gada". My son said he doesn't know what he is saying, but I know. He is saying, "I gotta get it, I gotta get it, I gotta a get it....". I love being a grandma!
I had a nice cuddle with my dd while the boys (husband, his brother, his brother's partner, and two of our friends) were downstairs playing D&D. We had a nice dinner of pizza earlier in front of Megamind, brought by the BIL. Some nice family time with a movie followed by snuggles from the kiddo made this night just about perfect.
I found an awesome fitness class where I get to work out and the kids get to play and perform gymnastics. It's a win-win situation! Feeling the burn, baby.
